The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Did management get a chuckle over the "thick headed Former Marine" barb?

The thick-headed Former Marine is her father; I'm a thick-headed former Sailor...but on Submarines.

Must have got lost in translation.

Chuckle? No. Laugh her ass off? Yes.

EDIT: Already done. Took all of 30 seconds. Nice.

And I mean it...

Or. Else.

I foresee someone getting in trouble tonight with their significant other by wandering through the house and slicing the pie at doorways.

I used to but I haven’t in a long, long time. You can find suitable AR 500 steel target so reasonably priced today, it doesn’t make sense for me to mess with it.

I shoot steel a lot and if you uses the apropriate thickness of AR 500 steel at the apropriate distance, you won’t have to replace them.

I priced an AR500 4x8x1/2" sheet for $650. I can make a lot of targets out of a 4x8 sheet. Me and some friends/family may go in and make some.

The stories she could tell.....

I'll send you the "Friendly Express Fiasco" offline. Takes a while to tell, but a guaranteed laugh at my expense. If I forget, remind me in a few days.

Just remember, GIFT!

The next one gets drop shipped from the dealer and you get to explain "but honey, really it wasn't me!"

Depends. What do you want it to do?

Forewarning, the name AR10 and inexpensive don't collide often.

I want it to shoot when I pull the trigger.

I'm not being sarcastic. I don't have a huge need of bells and whistles.

I currently have a Stag Arms AR15. Flat top with a simple red dot scope that does everything I need.

The reason I want an AR10 is I want a .308.

I like to keep my ammo types to a minimum. I have 3 deer rifles in .308 and I also have a .338 mag deer rifle.

So, .223, .308, and .338mag in my major rifle platform is all the variation I want.

I have shotguns, .22's, and a .30 cal m1 carbine so I have the other fun guns also.

Only 1 9mm pistol, so that's probably my next buy in a compact for carry purposes.

Edit, I would want to hunt deer with it so I would equip with decent optics.

I built a long range AR and I love the adjustable stock I put on it.

Edit: Wrong AR.

Nice looking gun.

That looks like the stock I have on my AR.

I feel like a traditional fixed stock may be easier to shoot long range for me.

Edit, I didn't see your edit before replying, but still good looking guns.

Thanks. The second stock has adjustable cheek rest. It's very solid.

Smith and Wesson M&P10. Likely will run you about $1,100-1,300 or so. Lots of parts interchange with the -15 series (stocks, mid length handguards, triggers, etc) and easy to scope and accessorize.

Parting it together might be a little cheaper, but S&W has a good service department and is good about quality.

No, I don't recommend DPMS regardless of the flavor, though that's a personal thing with me.
