Palmetto State Arms has a some great black Friday deals if anyone is interested. They have a complete build kit with SS barrel minus the stripped lower for $439 (I think). Even included the lower parts kit. Find an Anderson lower for $50 and you have a nice AR for around $500 total.

And this, dear friends, is why you shouldn't gunsmith an AR unless you know what the **** you are actually doing.

What did they do? Tighten the barrel nut down after they installed the gas tube/block? I see they've installed the barrel upside down too.


Edit: How can they even do that?

It almost looks like they rotated the barrel while the receiver was in the vice. And the only way to do that is to snap the barrel index pin. I can't tell if the barrel is upside down or the gas block is inverted.

How do they even do that? Wake up and eat a stupid pill.

Maybe the barrel is right side up and the gas block is rotated around and they tightened the barrel nut with gas tube already installed.
