The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Thought I'd share an experience I had this week. I purchased a KelTec P-40 a few years ago at a gun show. I thought it would be a nice glovebox gun. Serviceable but wouldn't have to worry about a nick or two. Anyway, while shooting it one day I went to release the slide on the empty mag since I was through. When I did the assembly pin fell out on the ground. I couldn't find it in the tall grass. I called KelTec to request a replacement and they asked me to send the gun in for inspection. I took it over to UPS and they said the gun had to go next day air. It was going to cost about $60 to send it back. I was going to be close to Cocoa during my vacation this week so I just decided to bring it with me and drop it off. I dropped off the gun and they went totally through it and updated it to the latest parts which included a new barrel, replaced all the springs, and a few other parts. I dropped it off, went to lunch and it was finished by the time I got back. Asked them how much and they said "no charge."

They've got some pretty cool little guns. Check them out if you're not familiar with them.

They're a funky outfit but they've always been helpful. I had a PF9 years ago that they went above and beyond with.

I was in academy last night, and they had a .22mag Bond Arms, on clearance, think I'm going back and getting a fathers day gift for myself

then looking at BA's website, you can get additional caliber barrels 50% off, so I'll probably pick up a .38 additional barrel

I've them for years, and have wanted one, when I saw it about 40% off on clearance at Academy, I couldn't pass it up

Gonna get the second barrel .38/.357 mag for it...There 1/2 half at Bonds website right now

That reminds me. I saw a pretty big stink on FB about Academy and ARs. I haven't really looked into it. Is it legit?

I personally like the green godfather chair you have there.

Looks good. Gas it up and get to the range.

I'd recommend some sort of iron sights as well. Call me paranoid if you will. Lol

Magpul makes a fine set of sights, as well as knights armament (my favorite), and Midwest industries.

I was hoping to keep the scope down on the barrel pretty tight. What do you think of Vortex optics?
