I love my .44 cal buffalo revolver, it's really fun to shoot and accurate with the 9" barrel, PIA to clean though, I have 2 cylinders and never shot over 30 grains of powder, I want 209 primer nipples but they're hard to find for my cylinders the percussion caps are sensitive to moisture
I've been looking at these. Seems like they're worth it.
New, Better Black Powder Nipples Designed for Performance and Reliability
I use plain old Remington #10 caps.
Bump.
Anyone got any new **** they want to share?
Well, I've found that the 65gr Sierra GameKing and 24.5gr of Varget with Rem 71/2 primers is a damned accurate load out of one of my rifles. Still need to chrono and see if there's room for velocity improvement without hurting accuracy.
Not sure that's what you were looking for but it's "something".

is this the place to ask about a pump shot gun price?
what do the new ones go for and what would be the price of a decent used one ?
it will be used for home protection,so it isn't going to be doing much other than within reach at night
I want a 12 gauge, something that will be reliable is all that is needed, nothing fancy
I gave the one Dad gave me to my nephew and I need a replacement for it,he needed one and I knew that Dad wanted him to have it,so I passed it along in the family, so I made him swear it would go to one of his future kids, that was fair, wasn't it?![]()
