Is joining the NRA worth it in your alls opinion? What does their gun insurance actually cover? Thought about joining, but want some actual opinions first.
It appears my M-14 days are coming to a close. Turning 40 last August has made me realize I can't do the things I used to do. So, it appears I'll be deciding between my AK's or my AR's. Kinda sucks because I like the thump of .308 at distance. But, truth be told I can't see for **** anymore.
I'd say no. If you want to support gun rights, join the gun owners of America or the Jews for the preservation of firearm ownership. I turned my back on the nra and canceled my life membership over the assault weapon ban in 1994.
I know nothing about the nra's insurance.
Good buddy of mine recommended gun owners of America as well.
What will one set me back?
I got mine for 570 a couple years ago. There are so many variants though. I prefer the yugos because the receiver is .5 mm thicker. They put an RPK receiver on it. The Hungarian AMD is good. You can get one for 499 off cheaper than dirt. Downside is front pistol grip but it can be changed out with new hand guards. 7.62x39mm ammo is also cheaper than 5.56 and AKs will eat all of it. 12 countries produce AKs most have civilian equivalents. In my mind, the Zastava Armory makes the best. I feel guilty sometimes because my family is Croatian and Gypsy. I am supposed to hate Serbians but they make some fine weapons. Another route if you want to go unique is the vz2008 you can find them for about the same price but they are different from the AK. Same ammo but the action is is short stroke and ejection port is huge. The Czechs make good firearms too.
Wat about this one? It's a century but made in Yugoslavia in the factory you recommended.
