We have been a guard short since Rick got here. I don’t think he has ever played more than 3 consistent minutes. It’ll be fine. We need Bishop to step up and for a freshman to be capable of giving us 10-15 minutes every night.Don’t love the Gainey signing. I guess that’s a pretty clear signal now that the staff does not see the 5th year happening and is encouraging them to move on. Dang. We’re a guard short for next year’s team and Gainey could have solved that.
I mean we could not get the answers we are looking for with the backup guards and still be pretty much in line with what to expect from a Barnes team if we stay healthy. We have post depth and should be good to great with our perimeter starters.you're saying its gonna be fine?
holy chit we winning the whole thing
The NBA draft makes me mad every year. Guys that get completely overshadowed against us are 1st rd picks. Yet Chaz who shoots 40% from 3 and was the best player on the court against these guys gets passed up likely becuase he is 23. What a joke some of these GMs are...
The exact opposite of team player. What a clown.
It’s still fascinating to see guys like Mark Sears, RJ Davis, Caleb Love go undrafted after being multi-year scoring factors for their respective college teams.Very simple - the NBA (much like the NFL) drafts based on projection of how good a player will be at the next level, measurables you can't teach or coach (wingspan, standing jump, etc.), and age. Production at the college level is a consideration, but only in service to the other factors, and older prospects have less time to develop and need to be plug-and-play, limiting their potential upside.
