Somewhere CPF is standing there with a blank squinty expression on his face clapping, not really sure why but doing it all the same.

I just wanna know how long it will be before they call him a total a-hole. he is not known as the Nicktator for nothing. No interviews with players, coaches, trainers, noone but him. And all this tradition filled 12 national title hoopla, gone. He is not a "bama man" he is a saban man. It will all be about the here and now. not the what happened 50 years ago. And as far as what the fans and boosters say and want?? They can write him a 32 million dollar check, right now and call it a day, because it is his way or the highway. ALL OR NOTHING.

Bama could use a good dose of that. A little less outside intervention in the program would likely take them in a very positive diresction.

Agreed. It's amazing how winning shuts up the naysayers and detractors. If the Bama "Elite" leave Saban alone and let him do his job his way, sad to say, he'll have them back in the NC mix in 2-3 years.

he knows why he's clapping, and i think he's scared. maybe so scared he retires? we could only hope....

been falling for more than 5 years, people are just now beginning to realize it. fulmer cannot beat saban, end of story.
Fulmer beat him in 2001 the first game. if i'm not mistaken fulmer is 1-2 vs Saben big deal considering how far down Alabama is now who cares who goes to that fish bowl.Alabama still has to realize that their tradition did not bring Saben it was the money. Sabens reaction just 8 short days ago still rings a sharp blow "i will not be the coach at alabama" think about that bama fans when you get to patting your new "savior for now" on the back. Money got your guy not your school, not your tradition :birgits_giggle: die hard bama fans know this and did not want him as the coach. I think this is going to be funny.

i agree with some of that, but they have one big thing we don't hope. we have nothing except a middle of the pack team if we are lucky

The Dolphins owner kept saying "its not about the money". Haha yeah right. Saban found the nfl is a little bit harder and he already screwed that team over by choosing Culpepper over Brees. So now he bails to take money at Bama.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that Alabama just inflated coaching salaries by another MILLION. Ridiculous. The next thing that pisses me off is what everyone else is saying...another coach better then Fulmer.

Maybe you are going to far with this no hope stuff
Fulmer can be a great coach he just has to step up to the plate again and take control. i think next year will be a very good one for our VOLS

Picking Culpepper over Brees wasn't really his fault. The team doctors checked them both out, said Culpepper was fine and Brees was not.

I agree. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. (BTW) we beat Bear Bryant 4 consecutive years in a row in the late 60's and early 70's.)

I do think Fulmer needs to make some changes in the defensive coaches.......replace Slade and Chavis!

i hope your right, but i think your wrong. i have no faith in fulmer it started with the sec championship game against LSU where he was brutally outcoached by saban. they contract after contract, i really just think he's washed up. great recruiter, very average coach and below average motivater.

I believe that Fulmer has drug this program thru the mud BUT he can right the ship. he can if and that is a big IF he wants to.i have not lost hope.
yes slade must go.

Hey Tidwell, you will not see high and mighty from me. UT and AU has owned us for the past decade!! Yes we got a great coach, but that has to translate to the field. We have lots of work to do before we can be better than alot of teams in the SEC at this point.

Also for the record the Owner of Miami Dolphins gave Saban his blessings to go to Bama.

I know you're a good guy, and I was only half-kidding in that response.

Maybe. :)

I do think Saban is a much better x's and o's coach than Fulmer (not that that's saying much) and the excitement of having a proven program "resurrection specialist" in Tuscaloosa will open up a lot of good prospects' eyes/minds for recruiting, and a lot of boosters' wallets for facility upgrades. That said, the more we bitch about him taking the job, maybe even the more we talk about him at all, the more it will feed into the mystique that is swirling around him and the enthusiasm in Bammerland. Congrats Bama! You got your ace. Now, I'm going to go put my head in the sand and pretend it never happened, at least until next October.
