The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

I'm amazed that 3 players would commit to that hell hole. They're obviously in it for the education.

****, for a free education I'd commit to vandy...if that was my only offer. I get in state tuition at Miss St (since there isn't a university in TN that offers my major) and the prices are still beyond ridiculous, but still cheaper than MTSU

They are talking about their expectations for this upcoming season, and one genius writes, "Kentucky and an emotional home game versus UT are our only realistic conference wins." Guy must not actually follow football if he A) doesn't know the game will be in Knoxville this year, and B) thinks that beating UT is realistic.

We need to shut them out in Neyland

From the Wallace kid:

“I’ve wanted to go to Vanderbilt ever since my freshman year,” Wallace said. “It’s SEC football, and one of the best academic institutions in the country, and I’m big on life after football

You are right on target about the education.

He does have a decent list of offers and it appears he has LSU after him pretty hard. It's a long time between now and NSD and he's already flipped once. Programs like LSU sell themselves so anything can happen.

He's just confused. He thinks that because a game at their place is a home game for us, the reverse is also true.

What about the o before the r

That's where the mind reads what it thinks should be there. The word 'commodo' does not exist in the English language so the mind reads a word that does: 'commode'. Been studies done on it. Bet you have seen those paragraphs that look like gibberish, but if you just read quickly, you can comprehend them. This is the same thing, or, at least when I first saw the pic, it was for me:).

Gonna be honest here... I saw COMMODORE pretty clearly.

I'm not saying you need glasses, SmallVol#1. But... you might need glasses, bro. No offense.

I had no problem reading it...

If you told me I could play at Vandy on scholarship or a high end MAC school or another low end SEC team (KY for instance) I'd take Vandy probably as well. The odds of NFL for college players is almost as small as college for high school players, and if you're so good you're going to the NFL, then as long as its a DI school it really doesn't matter because a scout will find you.

yeh but the entire experience of playing football at Vanderbilt has to really blow. I mean you play in a high school stadium, zero tradition, no fan support and a crappy team. You only play in a real SEC atmosphere when you go on the road. You look up in the stands when you play at home to see a half full stadium of mostly visitor fans. The entire athletic experience would push me to one of those other schools.

In-state tuition at Mississippi State University is cheaper than in-state tuition at MTSU?

You serious, Clark?

I'm sure they rationalize it with the campus experience (the place is gorgeous, I'm not gonna lie) and getting to live in a prime spot on West End. Nashville would be an incredible college town.

I don't know if I agree that Nashville is a great college town.

Great single-life for 20-somethings town, yes, but being underage on West End isn't ideal. The only stuff to do in that area is go to bars and drink.

I'm sure a lot of kids have fake IDs, but for the rest, it probably gets pretty boring.

Being underage anywhere sux. As far as the bars and drink comment, that's what college kids do. Nashville has great concerts, festivals, etc. Vandy sux but Nashville is great.

EX Oregon WR Chance Allen granted eligibility to play this yr for Houston. He moved back home bc of a sick mother. Just another weapon for Tom Herman and QB Greg Ward Jr. Good luck with those guys Vandy!
