IMDb was amazingly reliable once you learned to weigh movie rankings based on genre (and indie vs. big budget). The hyper-politicization of everything ruined it. Now, you got people voting down movies without seeing them.

Even knowing what was coming beforehand, the whole Sam and Henry storyline was so well done. It was acted beautifully by all involved too. Ellies face/reaction as Henry shot himself felt genuine. Such a raw/guttural scream, it truly impacts you. Props to Bella Ramsey on that one, amazing work. Also love that Tommy’s voice actor in the game gets killed by the bloater with the same death animation from the game, nice touch lol.

I played the game but honestly I played it back when it came out, which is now almost 10 years ago; so a lot of this I don't remember.

Another great episode. Spoiler below only for those that haven’t seen this episode, and for those who have seen it but not played the game.

The major deviation from the game in this episode I can actually agree with for the tv shows pacing sake. In the game, after Ellie and Joel get into their argument about him sending her with Tommy, Ellie runs away that night and shacks up alone in an old hunting cabin. This goes on for a fairly decent length of time in the game before they are reunited. I can see how it would be necessary to trim that down for tv.
