He is older, and I've heard, much more mature. He has bounced around a lot, and might just be ready to settle down.

He also knows the lay of the land here.
He definitely seems to have matured. How could he not have matured after going through what he has gone through? But, if he left Ole Miss like he left us, that would be a bad sign that he is ready to settle down.

Wait, y'all are gonna hire..**checks notes** Kiffin??? Following an investigation that got your coach fired?????????????????????????????????????????????

I said this in another thread but I will say it again for those who didn’t see, and I welcome any debate-Lane Kiffin is literally inches away from being Bobby Petrino. Literally inches. Verbatim. Bring it.

I didn’t like the Kiffin hire when we hired him. My mind changed by the end of that season. He gets the most out of the talent he has, especially at qb.
It’s certainly tough to argue against that. Corrall was electric this year.

Fair. You might be right. No one can argue he’s a step up.

Wasn't there something weird about how he left UTC? Like just up and resigned and then took some type of lesser (consulting?) job with MTSU? I may not be remembering it correctly
You might be right. I lost track after we didn’t take him. We are such a disaster. There have been so many bad decisions that the people who say the admin doesn’t care about winning appear to be correct.

Y’all may think I’m nuts, and I’m not sure I would approve, but think about this. There are a LOT of people that wanted Kiffin the first time around and still a significant # of people now that he’s done well at 2 other stops. There was no way Kiffin was getting hired back to UT by Fulmer. But now it’s announced Fulmer is stepping aside.....

I’m 100% behind a Kiffin or Freeze hire and removing Fulmer makes both possible

You think he'll ditch the SEC Head Coaching job he just got after 1 year because he's "much more mature?" Wouldn't that kind of be the opposite?

If we could get Kiffin, we should hire him today.

Maturity has nothing to do with it. Say you took a job. Then a year later another opportunity in a better city, more money, better company and it’s somewhere you would enjoy. How would taking that opportunity be immature?

Thank you! Daddy is a Penn State Alum but im raising her in orange
You don't happen know about a house off Cedar Bluff Road with a camper in the driveway decked out like a billboard for Penn State? I drove by my childhood home last Thanksgiving and saw this house all decked out with Penn State.

Petrino has been a better HC.
