The Jarrett Guarantano hate

Our chances of winning with JG are looking to be slim, but, our chances of winning without him are also quite slim
May very will be true. The book is out on JG. Chaney had to shift the plan to hide him last nite in an attempt to hold on to a W. That's similar to what you re doing with a Fr until he matures a little. Then you give him a little more leash.

At this point you re probably going to struggle either way. Might as well do it with someone who has more room to grow.

No I have eyes. They had almost no run blocking and we still ran for 242 on the ground. You’re probably right though; they would’ve been pulled in the second half.

I’m saying these 2 RB’s are average at best by SEC standards, that’s all

I understand. I just respectfully disagree. Now they’re not on par with Gurley or the like but I don’t think they’re average. Probably will look average with our run blocking though vs SEC opponents

It dumbfounds me to read all of this hate over a kid. First, this is a kid. He may legally and technically be a man but still, he is just a kid. Not only that, but he is doing something productive such as going to college to get an education and, though I don't know anything about his or his parents financial abilities, football is providing an avenue for him to do so. Just how many of you negative posters actually have an investment into the University such as a degree, donor, booster or played football for the University? Or, are you just a fan? Second, I remember reading on this forum several years ago how many of you thought he was going to be the next biggest thing since Peyton. Third, and to me most importantly, how many of you haters have or could be an SEC starting QB? Even with as bad of a team as we currently have, how many of you posters that continuously dog him out could even make the team as a walk on much less supplant him as the starting QB?

Granted, there may be more or other options at QB but most of the posters on here are personally attacking a kid. Now, I know I'm going to get flamed for this but what is wrong with ya'll?
Hate?...i've not read one word concerning hatred towards him. What grade are you in?

Ok tano isn't that good. Why does peanut keep starting him and let him take every snap. Don't blame player blame coach

Crazy post... please define hate as you are using it here.

All the discussion points to the lack of needed skills to be an SEC QB... he does not have it, and with time is showing he is backsliding.

Nothing but admiration for Guarantano. He’s tough (as last year can attest) and always gives the team his best effort. That said, perhaps it’s time to explore our other available options as any reasonable coach should based on the body of work they have on film.

Anybody seen KTown today? He may need some emotional support. I bet he’s in tears with all the JG hate

The coaches completely sucked the first game and were barely better the second. Problem is they’re one of the highest paid staffs in the country. Some aren’t worth minimum wage coaching or recruiting. The offensive coaches did come up with a new play (stretch play) for BYU. Problem was they ran it in the ground, had no counter play off it when BYU adjusted.

So, in other words, unless you're good enough to be a starting quarterback in the SEC and happen to be a graduate of UT and a donor at UT, you're not allowed to state the obvious. JG is not a good quarterback and that is truth and it has nothing to do with whether any of us would be or not. Telling the truth about someone playing poorly isn't hate it's just a fact.

Are you hating on the kid?

I’m sure he’s a good kid, but he sucks at football.
It’s not even that he sucks... he’s just reached a ceiling and if we want to move forward he either has to push that ceiling or get out of the way. I actually wish every time I’ve watched him play that he takes the next step but he has regressed if anything?

Yep, and he is expected to not suck. It isn't a free ride.

Oh I could've . Doesn't matter anyway, just because you couldn't do something doesn't mean you can't criticize them. Could you be the Secretary of Defense ? No you couldn't . Can you criticize them? Yes.

Dumbest post ever nomination for you. Congrats, you've won more than JG this year.

No hate for this young man. The Lord blessed him with talents we all would love to have or had. This just reaffirms that this may be the absolute top as a quarterback. As he may get. Now transition into another field of life. This is after all just a game. I bet anyone of us fans couldnt even take a snap or read a defense. Let alone run as fast. Just not hate. Maybe this isnt Tenn footballs time.

There are Billions of good kids...... that dont have the ability to be an SEC .. or any other conference QB... that is true.
