It is amazing to watch this discussion tonight. The D's are saying the process in the HoR was legitimate and now are demanding additional docs and witnesses for the Senate or are threatening to withhold the articles. Both sides should of been allowed their full presentations in the HoR where it is supposed to be finalized as part of the trial. If they needed R witnesses they should of went thru the courts, so just shows this was a rush job before the election.

I don’t know enough to answer that well, so I’m giving you a lawyer answer:

I’ve seen news reports that made me think he clearly wasn’t acting as an attorney, but I go back and forth.

If you’re asking a Court to compel a lawyer to testify against his client, it seems a safe assumption that the tie would often go to the client, unless it was obviously an attempt to cover up an illegal scheme.

Preet Bahrara, former US Attorney at SDNY, whose legal opinion I generally respect, is a little more bullish that Rudy/Trump communications would not be privileged.

My FL one caveat is if it’s Bernie or Warren. I know that’s just my personal experience but I think it holds a lot of water. People HATE Hillary.

My in laws are retired fed employees who usually vote Dem and my mom is 75/25 with her voting leaning to the republican side.

My in laws were never trumpers but they’re pissed about how deranged the Dems have acted these last two years. Especially about kavanaugh are they are not only voting trump but enthusiastic about it.

the other key is who the Dem nominee is. Biden still looks to be the best chance for getting the middle but I have my doubts he'll look physically/mentally with it. Warren/Sanders would need a massive economic meltdown to win the middle. Mayor Pete is a wildcard.

Opinions vary. Democrats were talking about impeaching Trump before he took office. I call the whole impeachment process a sham and there is no evidence Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors. Just an partisan effort to hurt Trump in the 2020 election because the 2020 Dem. candidates are clowns across the board.
