The Impeachment Thread

And you can thank the cry wolf narrative that has been continual since Nov 2016 for that. To quote Luther “it’s completely reasonable and rational”😂
But surely you agree that it’s disappointing to see this much slack in the line that represents the right’s efforts to resist the left’s push to replace to replace morality and God with the law.

Saying this over & over again with no proof that it indeed happened does not make this true...no matter how many times you close your eyes and click your heels and wish for it to become true.......not reality.
I give up with them, if they hear it on CNN or MSNBC its fact regardless what the witness says who by the way is their own witness

Some of these halfwits actually think Trump was sent by God.

NO president. as in none... would go to the hill to testify for this kind of crap. Your leftists are gonna keep bringing witnesses that say nothing until they get that one that has an impression that Mr Trump did something wrong. And then it will be non-stop 24/7 MSM crowing about it... completely discounting the 300 other witnesses that said nothing was improper. The Queen Bitch of the Left is not president. She wants to be relevant. She will stand up and talk to congress for the rest of her miserable, bitter life as long as she's in the public eye.

I've been pretty content the last few weeks. I've accepted typing and spellcheck errors as part of life.

Tell me about it. I have a slightly curved pinky from football days. I cannot spell "the" on the first try without it being "hte". I think its pretty much any word with a 'th'.

Of course he wouldn't, he can simply be impeached by the House while hiding in his. Truthfully and lets be honest here - trump is his own worst enemy when he opens his fat gullet, the charge of impeachment would probably morph into treason if he tried to defend himself.

And as we have seen with all the previous scathing opening statements, it goes down hill quickly from there once they have to answer questions under oath and forego the narrative Schiff wrote for them.
I think one of the R members last night was trying to get at this very topic with the lady, I can't recall her last name

I think it makes a shtty president look guilty and I think he'd rather look guilty than be found guilty. Congress has subpoena power and has the tools to enforce it, they're simply choosing not to do it because it takes time.

I absolutely think trump is unfit for the presidency, long before this - the only problem I have with trumps actions is that he was using taxpayer dollars to dig up dirt on a political rival. That's what dictators do. I don't think that's an impeachable offense. Scummy and unbecoming of the presidency, yes. Worth firing for, no.

That’s fair. I agree with most of what you’ve said.

I think the bribery statute thing is a stretch because it requires too broad an application of that statute, and would unreasonably hamper future presidents. But add the element that the exploitation of the office for personal gain was at the expense of the national interest and it fits the bill for removal.

I can’t conceptualize an impeachable offense if that isn’t it.

And at the same time we are literally using tax dollars right now to run this political Ad campaign for the DNC in the form of an impeachment . They are all scummy politicians playing their little games and when we are honest about that fact , it becomes obvious.

An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.

Did you feel the same way about Obama? What about Hillary? I'm sure you think Joe and Joe jr should be held to the same scrutiny?
