The Impeachment Thread

What??
Trump said exactly that before he was even elected.
I can shoot someone in the middle of Times Square and my followers would still worship me.
It has little to do with the cry wolf narrative.
It has everything to do with gaslighting and division. The two pillars on which Trump's success is built.

And she still lost.

I don't disagree but it's blatantly obvious that if there is an R beside the name your burden of proof is substantially lower and and your level of outrage is substantially higher than when there is a D beside their name. If it pertains to Trump, then presumption of innocence is out the window.

I don't buy the victim mentality you're espousing on behalf of the "R's".

The partisan knife cuts both ways, If in fact what you're saying is true - then it really boils down to the D's being better at politics than the R's.

Nobody goes to Washington to make friends.

That would equate to "nice guys finish last." So, being better at politics means selling your soul for political riches? As in less character and integrity. I'd rather keep my name intact. It's the only thing I can put in my casket with me and stand before God with.

President Trump brings that upon himself, imo..

It seems the vast majority of you guys went into this with your minds already decided as to guilt or innocence, and nothing said will change your mind. Wonder how many of you are willing to own that? It's not really looking for truth if your mind was already made up.

Life is made of choices.

Life is made of choices.

Hey, as long as you can live with them, choices do belong to the individual. The law can deal with choices that break them. The rest are personal.

But, I'm not the only one on earth that won't be packing my casket with anything other than embalmed flesh. So, hopefully choices are well thought out.

That’s because it’s a just all for show and votes . This has never been about right or wrong it’s always been about removing Trump by any legal means necessary. That’s why you have people dug in so hard on both sides . That’s also why everyone already knows the outcome of this little adventure and nobody is going to give an inch .

You're describing human nature. The presidents history is a strong indicator of future behavior - given that, the charges that he did scummy sht is both plausible and probable. I'd wager if answered truthfully, the affirmatives to your question of guilt would be equal to the affirmatives of the people who answer that believe he did it but just don't care.

I will own it if it comes to pass that someone can actually prove guilt. But, that ain't happening.
There is none beyond conjecture and fabrication to date. and way too many discrepancies, not just between witnesses, but witness self-contradictions as well. So, I would have a hard time from a "jurors point of view" accepting anything other than being thrown out. If you want something of this magnitude, it should be done right and above reproach. And it wasn't. But, I wasn't also immediately claiming he was innocent. I was bashing the bogus process. I do own that.

What would constitute proof for you?
