The Impeachment Thread

"Read the transcript". Joe Biden's name is specifically mentioned as well.

So the transcript matters now? The one that did not have any QPQ. What would Joe Biden as VP be involved with Burisma anyways as he said he did not discuss with his son? What political dirt on Joe was even possible to dig up?

I don't agree that there was "no quid-pro-quo" in the transcript, although, I would call it a bribe. The fact is, per the testimony of Sondland, all Trump really wanted was for Zelenskyy to announce an investigation was underway into the Bidens on CNN - he didn't really care if an investigation ever actually commenced or not. This was purely about damaging Joe Biden politically, because Trump wants another candidate to get the Democratic Party nomination.

Have you read our treaty with Ukraine? It gives the US the right to request investigations, participate, give info on people......we even set up their anticorruption organization.
Our treaty with Ukraine has nothing to do with the Trump asking Ukraine to investigate our citizens. We have our own process called FISA which protects our citizens from, the phrase used frequently by trump loyalist was, "being spied on".

What protection does the citizens on the board of a corporation operating in Ukraine have if the US is cooperating and the Ukraine is cooperating?

I don't care how many different ways you want to ask basically the same question, the answer is going to be the same.

And you guys love posting this grifters crap. It's called a subpoena moron.

Again I ask... are you really a lawyer? You think the op is referring to the how as in procedural instead of the legal? Rudy is his attorney, there is a rule... I’ll wait to see if you figure it out.

1. Bill Barr or his designee is the “central authority” authorized to make these requests. The president is not named as a central authority for a reason.
2. The form of requests laid out here was not followed. There was no follow up in writing within 10 days providing the required details laid our herein.

Why do you think that is?
Does that apply to Ukraine reopening an investigation that existed in 2016?

I agree with your assessment. I don’t think it’s a reason to remove a sitting president. He didn’t ask them to make up crap. The proper response is a censure.

He did ask them to make up crap, an announcement of a fictitious investigation into the Bidens.

No. What he did was a crime. But not one IMO that would rise to removal from office.

Do you agree it constitutes bribery and that bribery is specifically enumerated as an impeachable offense in the constitution? In fact, if I'm remembering correctly, the language in the Constitution is "shall"
