The Impeachment Thread

Do you not find yourself hypocritical? No problem with Trump on this front but call out others?
The Right wing has been working on this "drop" of wild accusations for weeks. Ever since they learned it was going to the HJC. Democrat Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell's husband is a contract killer that earned $700k. Obviously employed by the Clinton's as well.

I think this is easily the most serious offense of all previous presidential impeachment inquiries, including Nixon’s.
I would agree. The Trump administration has made the essential role of oversight much tougher going forward. Republicans are being very short-sighted by defending this. There will come a time when they will want to subpoena documents from a Democratic Party President... and they will get nothing.

Trump has bought and paid for folks on the HJC? I missed that.
Trump has a minion as the ranking member of the House Intel Committee. It is incredibly hypocritical that Nunes did not recuse himself from the impeachment inquiry testimony. He stood in judgement of a process, as a fact witness... and never said a word about his own intimate involvement.

It's usually the patient seeking medication for depression or anxiety. It's trial and error with them especially the SSRI's. It's either go to your regular doctor or a Psychiatrist. Access to Psychiatrists is the problem. The Goldwater rule adopted by the APA requiring an examination was a industry protectionist policy. It was designed to give legitimacy to an infantile profession. A new science, if you will, for the treatment of people with mental disorders for which most people didn't understand to begin with.

In essence, they didn't want members spouting off about people (labeling) because it would hurt the industry.
I think it does hurt psychiatry. I think diagnosing someone from afar opened the door to criticism of the profession once again thus the need to keep the Goldwater rule.

We talking Trump? Because he is either mentally ill OR he has extremely poor character. As in absolutely awful.

Not sure which is worse. At least if he is mentally ill we can forgive some of what he has done and seek to medicate him so he causes no further harm. But if this is just flat out who he is, well, then he's a terrible human being.

Money can't buy good character can it?

You spin a lot of virtue for someone who sexualizes a female in your avi in such fashion. I trust your virtue on all other things though LOL

Nice. You managed to throw in a red-herring fallacy on top of a gross inaccuracy. Ukraine didn't meddle in the 2016 elections. That is a talking point lifted from a Russian disinformation campaign. There is evidence that some Ukrainian officials expressed an interest in seeing Hillary Clinton win the election, but there is no evidence that any of them actually took steps to interfere in the election. Trump held up $391 million in Congressionally authorized military aid to the Ukraine, because he wanted to use it as leverage against the willingness of their government's leadership to announce an investigation into a potential political opponent of his, in order to damage that opponent (Joe Biden).

Not really because once they actually get to "see" the Psychiatrist, behavior has already been documented and charted. You have to remember there are 2 types of people that see Psychiatrist, the ones that want to and the ones that don't. What would you get from someone that doesn't want to see a Psychiatrist? As for as the second part to the Rule, commenting on public figures, It's a free country.

Wow another pedo connected to the Clintons....and there goes another VNP poster who "didn't" vote for her.

So the FBI and the Dems hated Trump so much that they covered up a pedo and fraudster to push their Russian collusion hoax
You two get a room. Or at least have the common decency to have your off topic circle jerk in the appropriate thread.

But I thought the Mueller Report was tied into the impeachment proceedings report your were praising earlier. How is another discredit to it's authenticity not relevant?
You think you're discrediting the Mueller report?

Ya they can commit professional suicide if they want to. It's a free country.
My pt Saturday....
The one that "doesn't" need a psychiatrist is actively responding to auditory hallucinations and losing the argument with the imaginary. I happen to disagree with her and told her her psychiatrist would be in to see her in the morning.

Half serious question: What if tomorrow Trump stood up and announced that executive branch officials would no longer appear at any House hearings? Would the Hill GOP finally balk? Or would they say," He won, get over it"?
“He outplayed them. Brilliant strategic move.”
