The Golf Thread

changed my swing last week and it's working well. Short, compact and my right elbow coming hard behind my right hip

Damn golf is fun when you hit the ball and don't feel it hit the club. I missed that feeling for about a month.

Any of you all ever played at the Johnson City Country Club? Not quite Torrey Pines like the poster above but was invited to go play it sometime so I was just curious.

I like the course. It's typically always in great shape and from my understanding just about all the courses in the Tri Cities area are in great shape right now. It's not incredibly long, but you gotta place the ball well in order to be able to score on the early holes. The finishing holes are great because they offer a real chance to score and go low, but you can quickly post ugly numbers by trying to do too much.

Thanks for the recap.

I don't ever go low though..

Just dress nice & buy high end gear & act like you have a bum shoulder.

:)

Good call. I can dress the part and have good enough equipment. I just need to play more than a couple times a month. I shot an 87 last time I played.. so I'm not a complete hack. At least I like to think I'm not.

Haven't been on the thread for awhile, but did have to come on and post that I made an albatross on a par 5 this past week. Hit a 2 hybrid from 215-220. Never left the flag the whole way. Hit in the fringe on the fly and rolled into the hole. Have had 4 hole-in-ones, but none of them compare to the feeling of making this one.
