Play with the new 2.0 last Friday in 107 degree heat. Very forgiving.

Played a Pete Dye layout-Heron Point- this morning at Hilton Head. Undulating greens that are the size of the hood of my SUV. From the fairway, every pin looks like it sitting it's sitting on the edge of a pool table.

Here's my new set up with my new irons.

Driver- Callaway RAZR fit 10.5*
3W- Adams speedline 9032ti 14.5*
Hybrid- Cleveland launcher 19*
Irons- cobra amp 4-G (stronger lofts, almost same as 3-P)
Wedges- Vokey 54* & trusty rusty 59*
Putter- Odyssey DFX 2ball

Next is a new bag. Probably Nike performance cart bag.

Went with the cobra amp set. My goodness my distance improve on avg. 30 yrds a club. 5 iron normally 190 yrds went to 220. Drive went from to 270 to almost 300..great clubs

What are some good cheap public courses in Knoxville? I'm going back up there for my sophomore year next month. I'm also pretty new to golf so the easier ones are preferred. Thanks

Wow! My problem was my stance! Too much weight towards my toes. I'm stoked to play now! It's amazing how close a good shot and a bad shot are really. One little thing can screw it up.

I think I have a similar problem with my iron shots- putting too much weight on my toes. What did you do to fix it? (besides the obvious put more weight on your heels)

Took a lesson. Not being a smartass, just takes a trained eye sometimes.

Right, so did the teaching pro say to just shift your weight back or move your feet closer/farther from the ball? Im trying to figure out what was done to correct the problem. If you can't tell I'm trying to avoid paying for a lesson!

He had me set and aim the club first and then squat like I was sitting in a chair. I was gripping the club first and bending over to the ball causing me to fall forward just enough that I was toeing my shots.

Anyone played with Nickent clubs? My Dad has a set of the 3dx that he hasn't touched in years and maybe played once or twice. My Adams Tight Lies I got 7 years ago are seeing their better days behind them. Was going to try playing with his and possibly buy them from him. Any idea about them?
