The Golf Thread

Anyone played with Nickent clubs? My Dad has a set of the 3dx that he hasn't touched in years and maybe played once or twice. My Adams Tight Lies I got 7 years ago are seeing their better days behind them. Was going to try playing with his and possibly buy them from him. Any idea about them?

Nickent makes very good golf clubs, particularly the woods and hybrids.

Was just in a Play it Again Sports and they had the SC, California Del Mar for $274, it retails for $349.00

Wife would have killed me if I bought it

Was +7 thru 8 holes this morning, 9 thru 18 was all pars, never parred 10 holes in a row until today, wish I could be consistent thru 18 holes, always a breakdown somewhere.

my best score ever was 81, and I parred 8 in a row, but they were in the middle of the round

Just couldn't play today. Yesterday's round in a heat index of 108* was enough for me. Planning on waking up early and hitting the course before the heat gets too bad tomorrow.

Well, his are just the irons. He has different ones for his woods

I lied. His 3 & 4 are hybrids. I'm excited to get out on the range. Read through a bunch of pages on here and found some tips I want to try as well. Not asking for a lot, just want to shoot consistantly and break 80 again and stay there.

sooo frustrated was even through 5 today ( went birdie, par, par, bogey, par) then i bogeyed to get to +1. next hole triple to get to +4. Doubled next hole +6. then parred last hole to shoot 42 never broke 40, thought it was gonna happen today

Where'd you play?

Hahaha you're right! It's very nice though. Short, but nice. Anybody live nearby or if you are headed my way let me know i would love to play a round of golf and talk about the vols!

Followed Potter around in last year's Knoxville Open. Seemed like a very good guy. Swing is goofy as hell, though.

Alright, someone help me out.

Right handed, ball flys slightly to my left. Reason for so?

Hit about 50-60 balls on the range. I think a softer flex is huge for me. Focused on keeping my hands closer to my body and trying to finish the same way each time. :good!:

How far is slightly left? At 150 yards out, how far left would you end up? Does it start out straight and curve a little left? Or does it start left and end up on the same line it started out at?

5-10 yards left of where it starts. Not extreme or anything. If I were to Sim slightly right, I'd end up in the fairway just fine if playing

Positive you're alignment is accurate? Sounds silly, but it happens.

Not sure what you mean...

The ball is moving left in fight. Are you suggesting it's starting right and moving back left? No, it's definitely straight and ending up to the left of my body when it lands. Even 5-10 yards may be too much of an estimate.

I moved from a regular flex to an uniflex and slowed my swing way down. Lost a lot of yardage but I'd rather be in the short stuff than 30 yards father and buried/lost
