English/Morikawa is a terrible pairing, and he’s rolling it back out.

Scheffler not effective in alternating shots. 0-3-1

At least he is putting Young out tomorrow morning.
Young didn't play this morning. Scheffler started playing well late today like he does in tournaments. Young would have been better than Henley this am.

If Hovland gets 0.5 point for not being able to play today, why did the Euros play at all? Would’ve won with 6 points from the halves. Riskier thing was to play.

Note: this was sarcasm about them being awarded 0.5 point for a forfeit.

Region golf tournament today for my oldest. I went to watch. Before I got there he went bogey, par, par, bogey. The hole I get to watch he triple bogeys… I decided I need to leave. Since I left he’s gone bogey, bogey, par and birdie. 😂😂🤦🏼‍♂️

Watching kids you’re related to play golf is the worst. About once every 2-3 holes I have to consciously tell myself not to blurt out “NOOOOO! THAT’S A TERRIBLE IDEA!” lol

It's turned into a TV show as much as a competition. Most of the players "emotion" and theatrics hole after hole are contrived. And now the fans are joining into the theatrics.
Eh… it may look like pro wrestling sometimes, but I think It’s 100% authentic. Most of those guys say that it’s the most nervous they’ve ever been on a golf course.

For whatever reason, it seems to have gotten quite a bit more heated over the last 3-4 Ryder Cups, with the intensity hitting a new high this year. The other "wild event" in the calendar (Waste Management in Phoenix) has gotten wilder over the last several events too, to the point where I think they allowed fewer people in this past tournament.

That has to be a very difficult environment to play in, perhaps even more difficult than a major, because golf isn't a sport where trying harder or feeding off the emotion of a crowd, helps you play better. It isn't football.

It doesn’t work for me, but oddly, I’ve known guys that play better pissed, drunk or excited.
I know lots of guys who play better buzzed, that's for sure. Don't know any that play better pissed though.

In fact the guys who play better buzzed tend to be pretty good players, but also can take themselves a little too seriously and get pissed, which is why the buzz helps them.
