i'd say it's high for sure, but that guy knows his stuff. it was impressive when he outlined what tiger did in a normal day of work. that is pure dedication. i would love to have the time to seriously work on my game.
Preesh. I hover around scratch most of the time. Sometimes a bit better, sometimes a LOT worse (like now).BPV: best of luck to you. Rhat's living the dream, seriously. You're already about scratch, right? Certainly not out of the question if you have the time and money to devote yourself to it.
I agree. I think quality instruction can get just about anybody into the 80s. After that it's a managing the course, improved short game and eliminating big numbers. I have no confidence that Barkley will be able to do any of that.PS, I don't see Barkley ever regularly breaking 80.

Getting from 100 to 85 is a heck of a lot easier than getting from 85 to 79.
and regularly shooting below 80 means a handicap of 3-5, which he just isn't doing.I agree. I think quality instruction can get just about anybody into the 80s. it does not matter how many times you hit it....just keep moving
and there are no "gimmies"
When it's all said and done, the smart money says that Haney will have Sir Charles breaking 80 consistently. The dedication and desire are there, and Barkley was an athlete (yeah, yeah, I know) at the highest level. And you know the guy can generate some SERIOUS clubhead speed, if he ever gets his swing plane remotely on track.

When he started playing as a 76er back in Philly, they claim Barkley regularly broke 80. Not saying he will again, but you have to think that hitch doesn't show up with chipping and putting. He could actually still have that under complete control.

I wouldn't gamble with the "they" making that claim. When he started playing as a 76er back in Philly, they claim Barkley regularly broke 80. complete opposite.
if i don't have it going early, i'm a mess around the greens the rest of the day. and then i try to compensate by swinging harder, and then everything starts going right. way right.
i know it seems like a no brainer, but half way through the summer last year i started using the alignment arrow on my ball. just making sure my ball is aimed on the correct line helps me tremendously.
still, there's some days where i have to make my goal not hitting the ball off the other side of the green. a change in wedges is definitely in store for this summer.
I'm going my eye having learned when the putter is aligned properly.
