The Golf Thread

Got a question.

Did Sergio not get all the way to 2 up yesterday? I quit watching not long after Tiger finished and I thought he had his match wrapped up. Did he lose the last 2 holes?

who's close? I'm really curious to hear. He can hit it high, low, left, right, closer than everyone else, can dig it from the rough better than everyone else and can hit them farther than everyone else. In any one facet he might not be that much better than any single player, but on the whole, he's light years in front of the field.

Davis Love for one. Still probably exhibits the best distance control of anyone out there. And he can be just as powerful as Tiger.

No he isn't and it isn't remotely close. He's a short iron hitter, awful from the rough and doesn't have the variety. There are several guys closer than DLIII. Stats tell that story. I'd take Durant over love all day long.

Sunshine, lollipops and..... oops.

All four 1s are gone.

Villegas has been tearing people up, making him the favorite now for me...

McIlroy's definitely got game, and so does Oliver Wilson.

It would be nice to see Ernie still playing come saturday.

These greens are just an absolute carnival ride. I really don't know what Nicklaus was thinking...

1:30p the fun continues.

Funny line I ran across..........In 1959 at the Memphis Inviitational Open, golfer Tommy Bolt was fined $250.00 for "letting one loose" as his opponent was just about to tee off.

Tommy Bolt stories are legendary.

,,,and for those of you who don't know, the above picture is not a swing. It's a throw.

:lolabove: I do not understand how he can be fined $250 for a well timed rip.

Ogilvy's a bad man when it's rolling. Putting machine.

he's ruthless for sure. i do like the fact that he never changes his expression whether he just hit one 3 feet from the pin or shanked one into the water.

did anyone watch the Barkley experiment last night on the Golf Channel last night? Hank Haney is trying to fix his golf swing.

The commercials made the show look funny, but I really think it's going to be more educational than anything. I learned some interesting ways to consider making sure you stay in a proper swing plane and just from watching Sir Charles, I picked up on some better balance techniques, but I'm not quite sure how to explain it.

hard to appreciate that the bony thing stomps it and hits an absolute moon rocket.

He's not a particularly steady driver of the ball, but those times he is, he plays with anyone.

If he's driving it at Augusta, he's clearly in the hunt.
