Yesterday was good golf all the way around. Sergio getting kicked off the island was surprising until you remember that Sergio is, well, Sergio...

Woods/Clark.... Tiger will have to tighten up his irons and get a grip on the speed of these rollercoaster greens.

Els/Stricker... I like this matchup

Mickelson/Johnson... The madman vs. the mildman. I got a feeling steady Zach will rob Phil today...

McIlroy/Mahan... This has a late tee time, so we'll get a good look at boy wonder. I'm eager to get a good look at Rory's game.

Round 2 should be very entertaining...

The same is true of Augusta, but they are faster and borderline unplayable, but he seems to win there.

His putter helps, but it's because ridiculously sloped and very fast greens place such a premium on iron play and he's by far the best iron player on earth. Second is probably Boo, who has no business on the greens near Tiger.

LOL. While I'll agree he is the best iron player, he's not BY FAR the best. Ridiculous claim. Not even close to reality

who's close? I'm really curious to hear. He can hit it high, low, left, right, closer than everyone else, can dig it from the rough better than everyone else and can hit them farther than everyone else. In any one facet he might not be that much better than any single player, but on the whole, he's light years in front of the field.
