There are maybe 2 or 3 holes downhill from what I remember, I was just overwhelmed.

The guy I played with shot a 75, he's pretty good though, I had no business playing from the tips, although my goal was to break 100, I ended up with 93, quaddroupled 17 & doubled 18, and missed 5 putts inside of 5 ft.

played a 2 man scramble at bent creek sun. we shot 76. i was happy with that for never having played there before i guess. we both hit ob on the first hole and ended up with double. a lot of creeks and standing water there, but overall not a bad course. it's not worth $50 a round though.

also, the gnats are brutal there...

Played 18 yesterday and I shot a 39 on the front, in position for my best round ever and then threw up a 45 on the back. Highly frustrating.

I hit a 8.5 and get back spin on my driver. It's very frustrating. I've tried changing shafts too. Starting to think it is a me problem.

I change my mind on ever offering to play in a VN tournament. This board has the best collection of golfers you can ever find on the internet, and I'm just flat out not worthy.

Yeah, I don't want to have my playing partner be forced to stop 40 yards behind his drive to wait on me to hit mine.

Why is the name of God if you can fly it out there 290 would you even care if it rolled? Are you like 6'8" or something?

No. I only hit a PW about 140. haha. I hit the ball extremely high. 80 is a great round for me. I 3 putt a lot too. I am not worthy of playing with Bama cheats. Seriously though. I'd love suggestions on how to keep the ball down. Also, if anyone lives near Charlotte I would also love to have a golfing buddy.

Go get fitted or demo some clubs until you find the right combination of club & shaft.

Because I suck so bad from 100 and in that's all I got. Haha. I get some roll. Not ver much though and sometimes none. The ones that don't roll are closer to 275-280. I am 6'5 and have a long powerful swing. I also have a lot of weight behind me. 285 lbs. just can't finish well around the green.

Sounds like you need an x flex & possibly some lower loft. Aldila shafts seem a little softer than most IMO. At demo days they have a lot of club & shaft combinations. A lot of clubs nowadays can be adjusted & swap the shaft out in no time.
