I gotta see this to believe it.

Drive 280 with roll
3 wood 230-240
17* hybrid 200-215 depending on setup
3 iron 200
4 iron 190
5 iron 175-180
6 iron 165
7 iron 155
8 iron 140-145
9 iron 130-135
PW- 120
52* 110
56* 95-100
60* 70
I'm probably a half club longer than that with the short and mid irons, but you and I could club off of each other.

My ping irons aren't the longest, I just like the feel of them compared to callaway or TaylorMade irons. And I've never had issues with those lengths.

In other news, I caught a 22 inch, 17 lb largemouth bass over the weekend

That looks like my yardage. Maybe +5 on pw thru 4iron

where are you losing strokes, with that length I would think you woulld be a single digit

before I moved to Chicago and I was playing alot I was down to a 12, but could never crack single digits, and I never hit it that far off the tees
I did play the blue tee's and not the tips so that would be a factor too

I don't take mulligans. I play it as it lies. I always play the tips. The only rule I don't adhere strictly to is O.B. I don't walk back to the tee. I'll drop and take my 2 strokes if I didn't hit a provisional just for the sake of speed of play.

I'm playing bad this year for a variety of reasons. I had trouble off the tee my first several rounds. Then I started striping it off the tee and my approach shots were killing me. My last 4 rounds I've had 36+ putts each time. River Islands was a joke though. The greens were terrible.

One thing I've noticed that effects handicaps quite a bit is the country club player. A buddy of mine is a -4 at his club, and its legit. But its an act of god to get him to play anywhere else. When he does he always shoots 85+. I like to constantly play somewhere different. Familiarity with a course is good for a few strokes imo.

I've heard the jokes. Kinda silly. Then when you play a round I must have illegal clubs.

I play with the same group of guys locally and all but 2 hit it the same distance. One guy can he just doesn't try. Very rarely he even has a driver in his bag.

You guys should go down to the range at Willow Creek and watch these skinny highschool kids hit it. I can't believe everyone of you play with so many short hitters that you think that's the norm.

I don't really shoot higher numbers away from home but I can definitely hit it a lot worse and get away with it at my home course.

I spent two years watching the AJGAers (the best juniors in the country) tee it up every day. To include Rickie Fowler and Peter Uhlein. None of them were hitting like that, nor do they now.

I don't think 280 with roll is long for average, I know it is.

Rickie Fowler averages 294 off the tee. To average 294 you've got to hit several 315+. And he's 41st on tour. Plenty of guys hit it that far.

some of that is true, but I am a 10 at my course and go to other courses and shoot 78-80 almost every time and I have to play out of my mind to shoot 78 at home.

200 yd elevated green over water and surrounded by bunkers par 3 #16 is a round ruiner.

What's everbodys lowest rounds ever? I have shot one over multiple times on various courses. I was once 3 under thru 15 at a course in palm springs and **** the bed. Finished double double triple.

First round in the 70s was a 75 at skylinks in long beach. For those that have been out here it's the one right next to lbc airport.

As a kid I was pretty good. It's depressing I was better at 13 than 29 and it's not even close.

not even 20 of the best golfers in the world avg 300 yds off the tee, which means even less are averaging a carry of 280.

Your 4some makes you guys 4 of the longest hitters in the world. Maybe even top 10

75 for me at Hermitage. I have a couple of low scores at little goat ranch courses, but don't count those. Played at one where I could drive @ 5 par 4's

I wish I would have played younger. I didn't start until I was 28.

Do you understand how averages are determined?

Now that Fowler has elevated his game to the professional level, yeah, he hits it 294. A total of 17 tour pros are averaging over 300. I'm supposed to believe your "keep it in play drive"
averages 315? I'm going out on a limb here, but you must actually be an UGA fan, have recently adopted a baby boy, bought an authentic General Lee car and had quite a memorable weekend back in April too? probably never had a golf lesson either right?

I can. I have 2 swings, a keep-it-in-play swing, which is about 315-318 or my best-ball tournament drive which is about 340-345. I keep my normal drive in the short grass about 50% and in play about 80%. My long drive attempts prob see short grass about 25% and in play about 50%.

What about your other clubs for reference? Me...

PW - 165
7 - 190
5 - 210
3wd - 280

I don't play anything higher than a 5 iron. No hybrids. I traded a 4 iron for a Gap wedge this season.

I play every course from the tips. My handicap says I should move forward, but I don't. I'm not playing very well this season. Not sure why. I've played 11 rounds since March, hopefully my game will come back to me.

Please point out where I claimed an average. The question was who can fly it 280, not who averages 280. I can fly it 280. Since I don't shotlink every drive I don't have a PGA official average. Seeing as I said it sees short grass 50% of the time, my average would be well below 300.

Yes. They include all tee shots, not on par threes, and include all shots regardless if driver, 3 wood, hybrid, or iron were used. Measurable drives must be in the short grass.

Averages are not indicative of how far someone can hit.

You'be been butthurt for years because of posts about being fat. It would help your cause to learn to read. I've tried to remain civil and you're constantly on the attack. I could care less what you believe.

You did with your first two statements. Your keep it in play drive goes 315 and your best ball tourney drive goes 345. The op asking the question said averages too.

Also, since you don't know how the PGA keeps driver distance stats, they take take two drives per round going in opposite directions and score the drive regardless of whether it winds up in the fairway or not. Driving accuracy is a totally different stat.

Where the heck did you come up with this drivel?
