Someone brought this in to work today -- was really good @95 Vol Alum you ever tried it ?

It's been a thing for a while. The North Carolina State Fair has been doing deep fried chocolate covered bacon for years now. Also, deep fried oreos, deep fried krispy kremes, etc.

My great-grandmother is the first person I think of because she always had a garden and always had the best food.

Last night at dinner I asked my husband if they ever did that ( meaning his family when he was growing up) and he had never heard of someone doing that.

Yep! My grandparents, parents, me, myself, and I.....especially maters fresh from the garden.

It's a Southern tradition, IMO! Oh, and mater & mayo sammiches too!

Mater and mayo sammiches on white bread. (I may or may not have bought a loaf of white bread specifically for that purpose.)

Because it's good.

That's how I eat my tomato sandwich. Tiffany will cut up tomatoes, and eat them with salt, pepper, and mayo without bread.
