My ump buddy was in Oakland this weekend but I forgot. I do need to go for a last walk from Bart to the stadium, good dogs, drummers and all kinds of people watching.

I know an ump, but I doubt he remembers me. His wife will. But not in the way that reads. Her older brother was one of my best friends in grade school. The ump went to grade school with me for a few years then we were at the same tiny college together. But never friends, just had lots of shared friends. Never tried to con tickets off him.

My army AIT (army job training) was 28 weeks long at Fort Meade, MD. We discovered chocolate covered bacon at an Amish store not ten minutes off base. One of my classmates, and brother to me like close friend, loved it. It was a running joke all through class and we even wound up at Ft Bragg together and continued the joke. I even brought him some when I made a return trip to Meade. Alas, he passed away while I was deployed. RIP good buddy, hope Heaven has all the chocolate covered bacon you could dream of.
