We can experiment with another mid-major up and comer and plod through being irrelevant or we can hire one of the best coaches in basketball that loves it here and immediately become successful once again and enjoy trips to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. If you were an Administrator or AD and REALLY cared about a winning program, which hire would you make? If they want my money they'll make the ONLY hire and bring back Pearl ( and Tony Jones)

I understand that. I also understand where Buzz Peterson and CCM came from. Pearl was a diamond in the rough. Would be a critical mistake not to do whatever it will take to get him back.
Tennessee HAS to hire mid major coaches.
This is a good job. But it isn't where you pick Bill Self from Illinois for Kansas, or John Calipari from Memphis to Kentucky.
1. I completely disagree. Money talks. Facilities and resources are available to hire a proven winner.
2. To make it easy, one of the best coaches in the country has a house and lives in Knoxville and will be available
Tyler Smith to the corner to Jujuan for 3! Nothing but net!
sky high chest bumping 4 other dudes with beer and chips flying everywhere pretty much in slo mo. Not being able to go to sleep till @ 2 am because you are so entertained and jacked up from the energy with which we played and coached.
that feels like another ******* lifetime ago
1. Not to grab a proven top 20 coach no.
2. It's not going to happen and it shouldn't happen. That is all I will say.
Let's just bring back the black curtains then and have a program just for the fun of it. I think we all realize college BB is a dirty business and what CBP did was nothing compared to what goes on out there. So maybe his personal life isn't the most sanctimonious either. Neither is Rick Pitino's and he just won a National Championship. We don't need a saint coaching our BB team, we need a winner who brings excitement in a predominately football crazy city. Bruce Pearl is proven and should be rehired, no ifs ands or buts.
Solid.
Thanks. I'm just sick and tired of the few Pearl haters that think a person can't make a mistake and receive forgiveness. I am a season ticket holder and have been a fan for over 4o years and love UT basketball. However, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with our Administration over the years and their lack of interest in a winning program. Mike Hamilton got lucky with the Pearl hire and brought us the best 6 years in the history of our program. I yearn for more of this and know that the only way this is going to happen is by bringing CBP back as our coach. As fans, the only " influence" we have is donating money and purchasing tickets. We need to let our voices be heard and I am one season ticket holder that will not return next year ( as well as several of my friends that have said the same thing) unless CBP is our coach.

Ok I see a ton of posters that get all up in arms about bringing Bruce back. So what exactly is the reason for not wanting him back? Is there a huge downside I'm not seeing?
