Same boat for me. I loved what he did. Met him one time and enjoyed talking to him for a long time during a football game. He's just an affable guy that I don't want to see back as head basketball coach.

So if you guys were assured the entertaining play and ncaa runs with him here you wouldn't take it? Because he lied to the ncaa about a bbq and cheated on his wife?

There's the thing nobody ever acknowledges though. If he does come back, I have my doubts whether it will ever be like it was in his first couple of years.

Just curious about what this has to do with winning? He is a proven winner. I would take him back in a heartbeat and that is my opinion. If Louisville can take back Petrino, we could take back Bruce (once again only my opinion).

Petrino didn't get a show clause from the NCAA.

Bruce also can be reinstated after the sanctions are gone, which is a clean slate as far as we are concerned. He lied about bringing a Junior to a BBQ, which isn't enough to not consider him if he wants to come back. It would not hurt our program or perception IF he starts out the gate winning again.

If you wanna put winning above integrity, that's your conscience.

How many of those coaches get 3 year show clauses anyways?

We have a saint that does not care if we win or lose. That is what these arguments are about, one side wants to win and the other side wants to stay mediocre.

Let's stop it with the NCAA and show cause crap. We all know the NCAA is a big joke and was out to get Pearl. Tell me why Frank Haith barely got his hand slapped and Pearl got the show cause?

Yup the guy that does everything right and sets a good example for his players gets ruthlessly criticized while the guy that lied to his bosses, governing body, and his family gets love and adoration even though he was fired for lying.

Then people ***** about the lack of morality in the world.

I think Hart is smart enough to hold interviews and consider Bruce. If he is the best candidate, he will be our coach. /thread

Still wouldn't do it because I wouldn't give him the chance to burn the program twice. And it's not because I love Cuonzo Martin . . . It's because I think there are others out there who can win without bringing baggage.

A very large majority of fans are all for that to happen. Some claim moral superiority just as the priest who had Jesus crucified. Sadness. But it cracks me up when the sanctimonious on this board do it because it is their final defense and they know it. lmao
