Hart was going to keep Dooley for gosh sakes!

He dissed Gruden.

I want to like Cuonzo, but if he fails to make the Tourney (again) rehiring Bruce Pearl is an EASY decision that Hart will screw-up, and we don't even have to think about it too hard.

Is that the same 77% on here who said Butch Jones did a good coaching job this year when he went 5-7 and lost at home to Vanderbilt?

Then you should know that Mears coached in an era where the tournament was only 24-32 teams. Only one of Pearl's 6 UT teams would've made the field in that format.

we've been asked to give Cheek and Hart a pass on not getting a big name football coach because supposedly nobody wanted it. Here's a chance to make the bold hire and we all can be pretty sure that Pearl wants it. It's a litmus test IMO.

Probably won't happen. Isn't what the white, fat good ol' boys with the money want. They want a ten cent coach with a $50 payback.

Almost everybody clamors to provide football players 2nd chances, but some say Pearl doesn't deserve one as well? UT = CBP = winning. He knows to NOT make the same mistakes. Yeah, a BBQ and then saying NO. In the pantheon of college sports that is really a top 5 offense.

Not true. The big money donors want Pearl back if CCM doesn't work out. Haslam and Sansom are 2 big donors that are pro Pearl. The issue is with Jimmy Cheek. In my opinion, Cheek needs to be kicked out the door and Then the door opens for Pearl to come back.

So? Pearl painted up and showed passion. Those are obviously the only two requirements to be a successful basketball coach at Tennessee.
