Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

There's not another coach in America who's as ready, willing, and able to make UT basketball relevant again as Bruce Pearl. How do we know this? Because he's already done it once before. No one else can say that.

Yep that negative recruiting and pissing off the NCAA is making it tough for Calipari...oh never mind

Hope we do bring Bruce back next year. Keep the rumors going. He is one coach who ACTUALLY owns property in East Tennessee. Don't have to make that up to keep the rumor going.

Martin is so far not a very good coach...however the NCAA lawdogs aren't sniffing the program. I supported Martin but his coaching techniques have holes in them...I support Butch...but he is gonna have to prove to me he can win on the field.

I agree with everything that you've said. Pearl getting us in trouble with the NCAA is what keeps me from wanting him to come back.

I am no fan of Martin's coaching style yet he seems to run a clean program...maybe that is why he was hired in the first place. My thing is why can't we have both in a coach?

Ironic to see Bruce Pearl doing color commentary on the game after ours. But he was wearing a blue tie (for the Gruden tie - watchers)

I thought it was also ironic. The speculation will only grow as our talented team continues to perform like teams of the Buzz era

He's not coming back. Not next year, not any year. Period. It's real simple: if Cuonzo gets to the Dance this year, he stays. If he doesn't, he goes, and deservedly so. There will be a coaching search, and a new coach, one not named Bruce Pearl, will be hired. Life will go on, and the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west. Your message board and radio call-in show ranting and whining is not going to change any of that. So STFU already, because the "bring Pearl back" threads and posts are repetitive, ignorant, and boring, and serve to undermine any semblance of intelligent basketball discussion here.

That is all.
