From what I've gathered, UT has had talks with Marshall before. He supposedly rubbed some people the wrong way. He came off as too aloof and arrogant. You wonder why more people haven't gone after him and he stayed at Wofford and now Wichita St for so long. At least he's not a coaching nomad like a lot of guys though. Once he gets to a place, he stays there awhile.

Considering UT's general incompetence when it comes to hiring the right coach, it shouldn't be that surprising that a great candidate fell into our laps and we passed him up yet again.
