What’s the word on the third/fourth pitch
I’m gonna say that he may need a decent 3rd pitch, which shouldn’t be a problem! Just something to keep em honestHaven’t read anything yet. Big thing in the minors was little tweaks to improve fastball command which he did. His split is so impressive that he doesn’t even need a good 3rd offering. If he locates his fastball with that split he will be good. An average 3rd pitch and he’s All-Star caliber in the next couple years

I really wish Owen Murphy had more velo. His numbers in low A for a 19 year old were really good. He has really good spin rates apparently but any 19 year old throwing 90-92 gives me Kolby Allard flashbacks
I respect the honesty but holy hell man. Talk about giving zero ****s anymore
Happens all the time. More in other sports but baseball too.I wonder if the comments are ultimately kind of a self-serving thing. I wonder if baseball hasn't been a top priority...since he got paid and started getting hurt all the time.
I find it hard to believe that baseball has never been a top priority in his life. Clearly it was/is, at least early in his career. How do you dedicate the time and effort required to get that good at it if it was never a top priority? I actually respect the fact that it doesn't come before his family or faith; I don't have a problem with that, no matter the job. The issue for him is that jobs like the one he has usually requires having the job be at least the same level as those, if not higher.
