You most likely met some coffee that was roasted full city+ or French. They tend to be a much darker stronger and longer roast (close to burned after the 2nd crack). With cold brew you get the full flavor profile of the bean and roast. The cold brew ground coffee steeps like tea in the water so you get all of the intricacies of the bean and roast. Regular hot coffee is just poured over the grounds and just washes some of the bean and roast profile into your cup. Hot coffee=dirty water for people that rinse with Listerine. Cold brew=a person that wakes up and rinses their mouth with Courvoisier.I donât do creamer or sugar but apparently thatâs a must
