I would hate to hear the in-state recruits we lost to Clemson gloating over their future team's NC.... But not as much as I hate to hear all the talk about dynasties and the dreaded "Roll Tide Roll" from the in-state Bama fans. So it's a half-hearted wish for a Clemson victory from me.

Hard to pull for bammer...even though they are SEC. Wouldn't be sad to see Clemson kick their butt!

The ONLY scenario would be, Late season, Florida has the gumps out of the West that year. If the gumps Beat Florida, Tennessee wins the East. First, I ask God to tell The General I'm sorry. After the game, I puke because of the Abomination I just committed, shower because I am unclean, then never speak of it again.

I think I'm going to be sick for even thinking about it!!

As a Vol fan it is suppose to come natural to want bama to lose. This isn't a new concept this has been going on for a while now.

There maybe an occasion when bama can win a game and it's a direct helps to us. Seems back in 2007 they beat Fl and that sent us to the SECCG but that was a rare.

It is safe to raise our little Vol children with the standard that the Vols are to win and the yucky bammers are to lose. So as they grow into their fandom they have a natural inclination to want bama to lose. If an exception arises we can deal with that on a case by case basis.

Again I will agree with you it gets very tiring. The need to have to remind adults of this so often is frustrating since little children can pick up on this by the age of 3 or 4.

Maybe one day all the Vol fans across the land will come together and realize yes we do want bama to lose.

I don't know how they get the little children in bama land with their one little tooth(it's cute as a baby, not so much as an adult) to pull for the tide. It's just wrong.

How is your seat in Tampa? I figured you had a hotel booked in August. Just to clue you in, that was WRONG. But I guess all good Vol fans are watching from Tampa because hey, there was never any doubt that we would be there.

Because there hasn't been a thread started on it yet. We are just trying to save the rest of VN from moving us to the Mountain West conference so we can win every game and not have to recruit against teams better than we are.

I happened to grow up there, my family still lives there, and I can tell you quiet honestly every fan I talked to at Christmas said they were pulling for the Vols. Don't be ignorant when you don't know what you are talking about.

It's easy to pull for teams you keep beating repeatedly. They're no threat, so a sense of pity sets in. Bet none of them rooted for Tennessee when they ran off 7 straight against them. I know plenty of Bammers, they hated Phil because he ratted out their crooked azzes.

SINCE u r stupid, I will use small words to explain why the SEC matters. We lost to Bama by 39 points ( 39) . If they lose to Clemson- we got murdered by a team not #1 in the nation. If the SEC is not the best league, then we are a 4-4 team in bad league. Any of these words too big for you to understand? Do u get it now?

I've pulled for them in the NC. SEC pride and all that. But now they've grown weary on me. Time for them to get knocked down a notch. I hate its an ACC team but oh well

It didn't work out like I expected or wanted.
Didn't make it down there. Wife had a baby back in Dec. I did make it to the bowl game, only because I was able to make a day trip out of it. That was a good win over Nebraska.

Where is next year's game? I'll start talking it up!

What's up with the 2017 patches? Isn't this game for the 2016 NC?

Were BAMA playing Buckeyes, Wolverines, Nittany Lions, or the Golden Domers, I'd pull for them. Other than those four I'd pull for Universoity of Al Qaeda before I'd pull for the Tide. Go Clemson!

There's no dilemma for Vol fans. You don't cheer for Alabama. Let the ACC talk for a year if they win. I'd rather deal with that than listening to arrogance from Alabama fans and band wagoners.

Yeah let's hope a team we play every year and recruit against for the same players wins another national title great idea. Screw alabama and the rest of the SEC them winning does nothing for us. Them winning just helps them recruit do you understand?

That it would be better for Alabama to be taken down a peg instead of another championship making the gap between them and everyone else in the conference widen even further (than it already is).

I know exactly what I'm talking about. I live here now. Pretty sure they were not pulling for Tennessee when we were beating them 7 straight years under Fulmer! Maybe you do not know what you are talking about!
