That Shouldve been a win

I don't have any reason to believe that a field goal kicker is the reason we lost. NFL kickers miss 50-yarders. Instead get mad that we didn't do anything to help distance by running shorter 3rd down plays that gave our kicker more manageable distances.

he kicked one 50 yarder, he makes the other two very make-able kicks we would have won

This^......this team is getting better and more confident. I know everyone is tired of hearing the youth excuses, but the fact is a lot of Fr played today. Not just spot duty either. They played a lot of meaningful minutes and did very well for the most part.

Also, consider the injury situation. I understand it hurts to lose, especially to Alabama. We as fans just have to have patience. I know people are tired of hearing that but, it is what it is at this point. We're getting there, look at the climb, not the mountain.

I think you're weak because you're acting like a beach

im not a "beach" i just have high expectations for a team with enough talent to win a game like that, and here you are that has gotten used to losing and you find excuses to make it okay

Let the dumba____ unite in this thread. Regardless of the pseudo fans, We are about to introduce ourselves back into the sec championship talk. All these naysayers can go kick rocks in 2016. If you don't see the wave coming you must be afraid of the water.

Also if he makes the kicks, the entire game changes. Alabama calls different plays in different situations. There's no guarantee that Tennessee wins the game just because Medley makes the kicks. Both teams call very different plays in very different scenarios. The clock is managed different on both sides. Don't act like you can change the score by 3, 6, or 9, and have the game be played exactly the same from there to the end.

NO MORAL VICTORIES! this was a win point blank period, and if you are okay with the outcome, gtfoh, how is that any better than getting blown out? same out come, a 4 on the right side of our record

You gtfo. we just played our arch nemesis and the most successful team of the last decade to a hair lash of winning

This was not only different than a blowout loss, it's better than basically giving the game away, for sure

if you can't see the progress in our program, then you likely can't tie your own shoes or go to the bathroom by yourself either

hell, your avatar kind of suggests that actually :lolabove:

This!

I had serious doubts about Jones earlier this year. However, he has rallied the troops and I love the grit of this team. They will flat out hit you in the mouth in the center of the ring. That's a reflection of Jones himself.

Said this exact thing a few posts back. Glad I'm not the only one to understand this.

I just can't figure out why Butch decides to send Medley out for long FGs, when he knows the kid can't make them. It's really frustrating watching Butch not learn from his mistakes. I would like to know why Butch does not want to push the ball with a 2 minute offense before the half. Butch is so caught up and concerned about losing the game, it really hobbles our offense. Don't get me wrong, I like Butch a lot and really want to see him succeed. But he's going to have to learn to not coach so tight & let these star players make some plays.

Probably because he makes them at practice and during the pregame warm ups

Regardless of wins or losses, you have to be a TRUE fan to accept it and move on! Yes, it was a tough loss but we didn't get blown out. I don't blame it on our coach! I do believe he has us headed in the right direction! What do we need? Is it a better defense or offense or better FG kicker? Maybe all three. I still believe we finish 8-4 and get a decent bowl bid, against a team from the Big 10, ACC or PAC 12 (maybe).
The Kentucky game will be tough. We win that and we'll win out. Missouri's offense is questionable and Vandy is Vandy. We'll beat South Carolina and North Texas will be a blow out (at least by 35). Hang in there fans and GO VOLS!

4th and 16 at the 25
a couple seconds left in the half at the 33
4th and 10 at the 33

if you go for it in any of those scenarios, you probably won't be calling the shots much longer

Gruden is never coming here no matter what. We are headed for 8-4 just like most people thought. When we have the depth, we will win these going away.

Thank God, Odin, Buddha, Krishna, the Flying Spaghetti Monster and Cthulhu for that.....
