I'm all for over-signing in the 2020 class. The type of talent we can bring in with that class is worth it.

I don’t wanna go crazy because those guys aren’t likely to want to stick it out 4 years learning behind others, and avoiding the heavy attrition and keeping chemistry has been huge, but oversigning by 1 I’m good with.

Not Quinerly...HM that played the 1/2, just finished sophomore year, so would be a redshirt junior when he plays again, southpaw...I’ll leave it at that for now.

Two potential players, but only one fits the profile of having to sit a year. Positionally speaking, he isn't needed, and he was nowhere near a top-100 recruit, either, so I doubt it's him.

There is always a line to draw. Taking a transfer certainly means one less recruit in 2020 one way or the other

Barnes has a set amount he's going to "oversign". He isn't going to go from
Never doing it to signing as many good bodies as possible and letting the numbers work out later. That's just not reasonable.

My guess is if he has indeed decided to oversign he only goes over by 1 which means taking a transfer like is being discussed here brings down the spots for the 20 class
