Tennessee Softball 2026

Tough question about who to start. This game and series is obviously HUGE, so I could see Karen wanting to start her ace.

But on the other hand, it would be cool if Erin or Sage could give us a solid start and then, if necessary, bring Karlyn on in relief. There are pluses and minuses to both options, for sure.

I’d probably make it a game time decision, literally seeing in warmups if Pickens’ pitches are getting to where she wants them to go. Lately she’s been getting in there lower than the umps have liked, and I’d hate to see her continue that trend in-game. If I were the pitching coach I’d be calling and evaluating every single pre-game warmup pitch and then deciding right before the game. I don’t think it should be a big deal if EVERYONE is preparing to start.

We take this series were a major player for the SEC regular season title. We have four series left that we should sweep. The other one versus Bama will be a home. I think 21 and 3 even 20 and 4 will be a player for the regular season title. Texas has to play Oklahoma and Arkansas. How they do in those series will go a long way to deciding the regular season.

Hoped we would hit their pitching better maybe tomorrow. You have to score a few runs most of the time to beat them down there. Walks got us in trouble today plus some errors. Two homeruns we lose 5 to 2.

Karlyn pitched a good game, but the walks are killing her and will continue to do so cause were an average offense. We should've hit a lot better in this series. Florida pitching is average in the league just a bad series glad we at least could win a game.

Florida's #1 is way above average. 17 wins in 30 games , impressive, imo.
