So one of the very few people that got a hit yesterday you want to take out of the lineup, but leave our automatic out or professional bunter at SS? Take them both for all I care, but at this point if you are going to pull 3rd mineswell put short too. Idk what we do to destroy bats, but look at Rodriguez leaving and now she is hitting .352 at Auburn. Morgan goes from .340 last year to pinch runner? We need to evaluate a lot of areas because this isn’t working. We can be a good team, but we need to reevaluate.

I’m not stressed yet, as I think our pitching is still going to carry us to some big wins. Pickens looks more and more like herself, and we have depth there. I do think we need a little shakeup in the lineup, though. I love Rutan, but she’s been really inconsistent on both sides of the ball in SEC play. I’d love to maybe see Clarke back at 3rd with Butt at 1st, or even maybe Barnhart at 3rd if that’s an option. I’d also love to see Morgan get more AB’s. I do think we just need one or two good hitting games to get our mojo back — we’ve shown we can score runs against good teams, so hopefully it’s just a mental block we can get past.

I love this game. I hate loosing. I used to say that about Tennessee Women's Basketball...but apparently that ship has sailed.

So, here we are. We have lost both games due to unearned runs. Yesterday, was so discouraging that the official scorer wouldn't admit we made three errors in one inning. We need to own it! KP gave up a hit and a walk and our fragile confidence was in tatters.

KP is clearly not 100 %. It sometimes appears that we are letting her work out her issues while trying to win. Additionally, the team seems to get their confidence from her. KP is struggling throwing strikes and when she does they are being hit hard. She has gone from 7-0 to 7-3. I am hopeful she will get to 100% by tournament time. But it's clear her wellbeing is critical to our wellbeing.

Not sure if Coach Weekly told Rutan to try and score on the wild pitch. But after she stopped twice I doubt it.

Need a complete reset.

Dropping to 11 is totally fair when you can't beat a team at the bottom of the league. Just like in other season it is all out there as to our fate. It is again hitting. We get swept if Morrison doesn't come through with two outs. To much pressure on the pitching staff to need to pitch a shutout everytime we play and two runs is losing.

Still no excuse to lose the series, but I do expense Ole Miss to be more like the middle of the pack SEC at the end of the year. Remember, their nine losses coming into the weekend all came against top 4 teams in the country.
