She started towards the end. Expectations was limited for a kid playing out of position and batting P4 for the first time.

Emma can catch too (as well as play other positions). It will be an interesting battle this fall at catcher, SS, CF and 1st. Hope Taylor stays but if not, add 3rd to the mix as well. Those will be big shoes to fill.

I say put Emma at first base, we need a tall target there, and put Elsa at catcher. That should work out fine.

clarke is solid but her bat does need to improve a lot. she came on later on the year, but needs to be hitting in the .300 next year if we want to see an improvement in our offense. same with the leach sisters (which i definitely think will happen).

And besides Boo hit .253 her freshman year and Clarke hit .211 this year. Boo had 56 more ABs that year than Clarke did this year. I’m sorry, but if any of you think that’s bad for a true freshman is hilarious.

Schools aren’t allowed to tamper, but there’s not really anything you can do if a “marketing agent“ facilitates a deal between an athlete and a collective ahead of time, unfortunately. Unless you can prove direct contact from a coach themselves, there’s just not a lot that can be done. Some believe this deal was done a couple of months ago, which would be very disappointing.

Also hearing she’s been a Matador Club member for awhile.

Yep. Would need to go back and look at the stats but it seemed to me she struck out a bit often. Just needs to be a bit more short with the swing.
