Need Morgan bunting more as a leadoff. Should've bunted her when we had the runner on first and no outs. Probably need to move her back to ninth if they are not going to use her speed more.

Glad LVs got the sweep and did so without Karlyn today. Love to see that. Since I’m not at practice everyday it’s hard for me to evaluate lineups. But based on game-only observations, my personal preference is Kinsey leading off, Saviya 9th, and the Des-Laura combo. I like Des’ bat and she has shown she can adequately play 2B, has even made some great plays! But we’re 25-4 as is.

Got a pesky 19-6 E. KY team this week and then I think Arkansas will be arriving with a somewhat desperate attitude being 1-5 in the SEC. So they’ll be dangerous. But our “A” game beats’em.

Tell us you don’t know anything about Softball without telling us you don’t know anything about Softball.

Because she is a slapper. Her job and her skill set is to use her speed to get on base, typically with a hit or bunt inside the infield. Batting her in a run-producing opportunity is not a correct move unless she has been previously pinched hit for and you need her to stay in the game defensively. You always pinch hit a bat that will swing away in that situation.

Needs to bunt a bit more especially if the infield is playing back to start the game. I like her leading off and Fielder second when either of them gets on good things happen and when they both do were in a great position.

I’m usually just a reader of the football and basketball forums, but my daughter has started playing softball so I have started helping her keep up with the season over here. She’s developed a love for LV softball. We live in Mid Tn. Was hoping to take her to the game in Columbia tomorrow but when trying to buy tickets this weekend noticed they posted they were sold out. Any suggestions?

Do you live close enough to risk going to the game and trying to secure seats there?

It usually sells out about a month in advance, unfortunately.

If they are playing at Columbia State it's not a big place anyway. When my daughter played high school ball Columbia was in our district and that’s where we played when we had to go there. Columbia didn't have a high school field. They do have one now and it's on the back side of the softball complex. Maybe playing there.

I know there were some concerns about Karen overusing her ace just so we could beat a non-conference opponent, but I'm thrilled the Lady Vols swept CT! I loathe them in every sport, so it truly made my sports-heart weekend that Tennessee sent the Hussies back to Storrs with their tails between their legs. Beating them did matter.
