She has gotten worse in the circle every year, particularly since her pitching coach went to Mississippi State. I don’t think she’s getting the daily coaching that she needs to continue getting better. If you think you can fix that, then bring her in. I think Tennessee will only have room for one pitcher in the portal, and they will probably aim a little higher to start. If she’s not in a hurry to make a decision, then she could end up here as a great fallback option.

A couple of articles have come out about this series & some of them have game Alabama the advantage in the circle in terms of depth. While that may be true I do think that if Karen is able to utilize Orsini/White for a couple batters if Pickens/Gottshall are struggling mid-game just to give them a break and then bring them back in it’ll be huge. I expect our hitters to be able to make better in-game adjustments against Beaver & Briski than what we did against them during the regular season.

Have to ride Pickens and Gottshall all weekend. If one starts to struggle a little, put in the other. Don't give Bama any chance to gain momentum and get optimistic. They scored one run in 3 games in Tuscaloosa. Make them look at one of those two on every pitch.

This game for us comes down to adjusting at the plate as you said. Articles going in-depth about depth of pitching is trying to spin Alabama into a positive. Advantage is still Tennessee in the circle.

Anyone implying Alabama has an overall pitching advantage (of course any thing can happen in a game) needs to be kicked out of sportswriters.

I agree that we should have all the momentum coming into this weekend especially after the offensive numbers we put up in regionals. I think the key for us is keeping White off the bases & adjusting to their pitching.

Agree, she had a weekend against us in Tuscaloosa. Only player to have success all weekend
