Looks like Tennessee will be going Adidas with the deal they offered almost have to. Over 200 million for 10 years is north of 20 million a year. The Nike deal wasn't even half of that. I think Ohio State gets 16.8 million a year from Nike which is one of Nikes highest paid deals so it even beats their deal. Adidas says they will make Tennessee the face of their brand.

Not really, at least not in my neck of the woods! It’s still Nike for us!

That's my only concern. If the players don't feel culturally "on brand" in Adidas, could that affect recruiting? It sounds ridiculous to think a kid wouldn't go to a university because they don't like the brand merch, but these days ...

i don't think in today's environment the brand is quite as important. NIL money in the pockets is the focus. however, adidas is a powerhouse brand. i personally prefer it over nike but to each their own.

Nike is still tops but I find people are less brand oriented all the time. At least in my circle people are more into quality than branding. Mass market stuff has gotten so cheap and crappy.

Swain keeps saying Nike only pays us $1 million cash each year. If Adidas is 10x to 20x that and offering flagship status, how could you not?

I have never had a second thought about Adidas. I still have in my closet to go along with Nike. If they are willing to support us better, it should not be a problem, as long as get the color right. Nike’s orange has been off for years and few people are old enough to remember the original “Orange”.
