Englewood, TN to Cartersville, GA on US 411 is the world's longest continuous speed trap.

I don’t make Cartersville, I do the 53 shortcut from Fairmount to Rome via Calhoun then back on 411 to 27. Gives us a BUCCEE’s break at halfway point from Rockford to Auburn. This aging couple and our dog all can use the bio break.

South. I go 411 instead whe I go to the Atlanta area. The back roads are quicker and safer Than I75. Have been doing that for 25 years next month.

Always was. Traveled this route many times back in late 60’s before I-75 was completed. Didnt think about it at the time, but a dangerous highway. All we wanted was to get home from Smyrna to Blount county to see our parents and friends. Young married with kid. Looking back changes things.

Me too. Was headed up 411 heading home to Madisonville every weekend I could when I was stationed at FT Benning in the late 60s. You remember those narrow bridges?

Things that stood out to me:
1) She mentioned 9 new players and having a 15-player roster, so it sounds like they're still looking at adding one more.
2) She mentioned that we'll be more athletic but might not be as good at shooting.
I think her observation of her team is spot on. I was hoping to land a 3 pt specialist, but either way, I’m excited about this team!

I wore out many variants to similar path from the Fayetteville and Guntersville area heading back also to Blount County for many years. When Maps have lots of red lines in and around Chattanooga, to avoid the frustration I jump off 24 and go the “D” route, Dunlap, Dayton, and Decatur back to 75. Now my directions are reversed. Time saver????? Not sure but no long and slow inspections of the roadways and semi bumpers. I do slow way better than stopped in my old age.

Probably a throwback to my 50’s tortoise and hare education.

I go about 9 miles past Cartersville and take 336 to Highway 5 near Jasper Ga. After about 18 miles, I take some backroads to Alpharetta Ga where my daughter lives. Much faster than taking the Interstates.

Agreed, why the state allows Madisonville, Englewood, Etowah and Benton to put a ridiculous 45 MPH speed limit on most of rural 411 after spending million$ on straightening and four-laning that highway.

Conversely, Highway 72 from Stevenson to Huntsville, Alabama has almost the same construction and risk profile and 90% of the road has a 65 MPH speed limit, with the lowest limit of 55 for a small section of Scottsboro, AL. It's a great way to go from Chattanooga to Huntsville. Meanwhile I-75 is choked with traffic because of the ridiculous speed limits on 411.

That was a treat to watch! When Tay Cooper is focused and feelin' it, she's very nearly unstoppable. Can't wait to see how she meshes with all the newcomers.
Me too. There's some really interesting chemistry experiments with this next group. IMO successfully blending rather than exploding that chemistry will be the key to moving up. Along with having a couple of players step up the three ball. Should be fun.

Calm down, (I thought I saw 👀 it 👆🏾too). Just throwing a three… 😉

I was counting fingers, and could see nothing wrong. The question is, why was CKC so quick to cover it up with her hand? The expression on Kim's face looked like a mixture of "No, no, no" embarrassment, while not wanting to bring down an obviously happy moment.

I’m pretty sure she was afraid Tay had a bird loaded! 🤣🤣🤣

Because uneducated, uncultured media can take that gesture and twist it into something it’s not. They’ll perceive it as some sort of “gang” sign and I’m sure Kim doesn’t want that narrative surrounding any of her players. Dawn did something similar to Jah a couple of years back when they were about to take a photo.
