Tee is out at USC

How are the TN fans racist then? Who has said Tee sucks because of his skin color? Who has said they dont want Tee because of his skin color?
I didn't say it for one.

Also no one has ever said that ALL TN fans have bias. Only a small subset. Are you denying there are racists in Tennessee? If not, none of them could be Vol fans?

What about the pushback, anger, and downplaying of talent and intelligence directed toward black candidates for major positions like OC/DC/HC?

What about the weird rage at Tee supposedly "playing the race card" when he didn't even say anything?

So if when someone talks about the fans that don't want a black coach stay out of it if that doesn't describe you. There are some fans that do not want a black coach. None would be man enough to come on here and admit it. That is why they throw barbs about intelligence and accomplishments. The "non racist" sure have a hard on for defending others from claims of racism.

And yes the trope of "He is a good recruiter but not coach" is usually used by racists as a way to explain a black coaches success without giving him credit for his mental acumen.

I only read the first page of this, but that first page is racist as all hell. Sickeningly so. yeah yeah yeah. Y'all ain't racist. Keep telling yourself that.

One year ago, Tee was in the hunt for this job as HC. He has been rising the ranks and been praised everywhere. He gets a Freshman QB and an inexperienced head coach who chokes. And now Tee is just "a good recruiter." Yep, and black QBs are athletic. And some are even "well spoken," whatever the hell that means.

Lane Kiffin got fired for his loaded teams sucking balls, but people sure want him.

Clay Helton—one of the worst head coaches in all of football and who all of LA thinks should be canned—is now the Ethical Appeal for why Tee isn't worthy and can't coach and can only recruit, presumably because he speaks recruits language or something? What's next?

Sheesh. The more things change, the more racist Tennessee stays.
Wtf is this? You talking about the story that was wrote because nobody on here is even being remotely close to what you're insinuating. Good grief.

There are much better options out there but I think it will be between the two. I’d much rather see Tee get the job than Will Friend.

And Kiffin’s firing looks like one of the biggest mistakes this decades. Tons of USC fans are now saying it was a mistake after the Sark/Helton fiascos. Kiffin had tons of punishments with the bowl, recruiting, and scholarships and still was ahead of Sark and right on pace with Helton comparatively speaking. Kiffin without the after effects of the punishment would have likely been better.

There’s a thing called hindsight and it’s now proved true that USC royally Tennessee’d their program by a stupid firing.

Yes I like Kiffin as a coach, but to sit here and compare him to Tee and make it seem like their anywhere comparable is pure ignorance

So tired of this argument.
The honest truth is a large percentage of people don’t give a damn what color someone is as long as they perform their role appropriately. I don’t care if someone is green with blue spots if they have a proven record and can coach give that person the job!

Another thing- Tee has said F You to Tennessee twice now. Move along. He would likely kill it here as a WR coach (his longest coached position group) and as a recruiter. However, he’s said no multiple times and caught on hot mic’s trashing a recruit who chose UT over him.

Big whoop. But keep crying racism. I would say that’s the worst thing, but the people who quietly like post crying racism and then play the “I never said that” card are just as worse.

Amazing how sleazy people are because they cant handle criticism.

There is definitely racist Vol fans. As far as the black people in major positions, there are quite a few black coaches. Sorry but that argument is not a legit one.

I dont know about Tee playing the race card. Havent heard that. I know Haynesworth said that TN wouldnt hire him because he was black. That statement is beyond ridiculous.

But you have shown in the past to really hang onto that "racist" rhetoric like a big crutch. You are doing black people a huge disservice by thinking everything is driven by racism when it comes to black people.

Completely agree.

Yet Haynesworth is still full on Vol Supporter even though the racist powers at be wouldn’t hire Tee. People are delusional bringing race up.

Why do you think he has a big ego? Even if he did I'd say he just got served a nice slice of humble pie. Also, it's funny how you think his wife's career would hold him back but admit in the same sentence you don't even know her name or what she does.

I'm just saying I don't know her, not familiar with anything she has done. It has been said in the past a big reason he wanted to remain on the West Coast was due to his wife's career ambitions and her pursuing that.

Then don't respond when others point out what they can pick up on. Why does it bother the ones who so called don't care? There are those that don't think ;ike you that d feel that way. So stop caping for them.

Boom. The bolded is all that needs to be said. If that isn't you then great. Stop taking up for every fan saying that none of them could not want a black coach. Some obviously don't.

Once again what does who the administration hired have to do with people that have no control over hiring?

Wait, what does a staff pic have to do with the attitudes of fans and residents of the state? They didn't hire them. In fact, when a major position,OC/DC/HC, has any black candidates people go on a mission to downplay anything they have ever accomplished.

This fan base was screaming for Kevin Summerlin when our idiotic AD hired Butch Jones.

I personally consider this post prejudice and without fact.

I honestly believe what you are describing represents a very small minority, I also believe that many who shout the racism card are actually racists themselves. One race does not have a monopoly on racism.

Now can we please as a united people move on and simply discus the real issues at hand?

I guess Haynesworth forgot we tried to hire Charlie Strong but he turned us down.

So you knew Jack squat about something, but still wanted to drag someone's name in the mud. Wonder why you did that....

Geezus dude, WTF are you even saying? Whatever it is has zero to do with why I don't think Tee will come here in a lesser position or why I think he and his wife will remain on the West Coast.
