Teacher fired for giving zeros

My nieces are rich kids that go to Montessori. They do have homework, but my biggest takeaway is they have the kids teach each other. So if you're a 5th grader, you pair up with 4th graders to teach them long division. It keeps both parties engaged and the best way to learn something is to teach it, IMO.
works for some, and as long as you have kids that are engaged. I shudder at the thought of some of my classmates having to teach others.

the lack of "good" homework doesn't preclude the necessity of it.

them focusing too much of photosynthesis is the real issue, not your homework on it.

I'm saying that a good classroom removes the need for daily homework, so yes, mediocre/bad teachers are often the issue.

I don't even understand homework for K-12 in the first place, aside from big projects, book reports, etc. They have the kids in class for like 35 hours a week. That's plenty of time for government education. Daily homework is outdated, IMO.

Whats wrong with homework?
