I understand the argument but I’d argue that 6’6” should be able to survey the field quicker and more efficiently than 5’11”. Regardless, I believe 180 @ 5’11” or 195 @ 6’6”, both will get snapped in half over the season. Especially with our OL.5'11" 180lbs is muscle bound compared to 6'6" 195 lbs...
That’s my personal preference. Bring in a cheap third QB for backup and competition and spend the savings on the defensive side. Time to get back to having a credible defense.Doesnt have a whole lot of video. From the one video I watched I would pass. He is smaller and his arm is not strong by any means. Seems to throw off his back foot a lot and has no zip on any of his passes. Only caveat would be to bring him in for depth and to compete for the starting spot if we dont find a clear starter in the portal.
And Drew Brees wasn't 5'10" on his tip toes! I think the kid is worth a shot. Let him compete and see how he does. We then have at least 3 scholarship QB's and one with experience.Bryce Young was 5'10 and probably 190-200 lbs and he dominated college football. Kyler Murray same except he had wheels. Doesn't matter about how they do in NFL.
Tebow did not have a weak arm. He had a bad throwing motion that lead to a slow release. But he could sling it.Nor did Tebow. You’re wasting your time talking to these “arm” people. As soon as you prove them wrong, they’ll make another excuse unless the person turns out to be the embodiment of “perfection”.
The whole "survey the field" thing sounds nice but it doesn't mean much if you can't see progressions or read a defense. This guy had 32 TDs and two ints... TWO!I understand the argument but I’d argue that 6’6” should be able to survey the field quicker and more efficiently than 5’11”. I'm not saying he's ideal size but he's FAR from "skinny as a rail". In my youth I was 5'10" 180lbs, benched just shy of 300 and squatted 375. No body would've called me skinny as a rail.. Now 6'6" 195, on the other hand, that's bean pole numbers..He's skinny as a rail. For reference, Diego Pavia is probably a similar height, but he's got 20 lbs on this kid.
Other than heaving oranges the length of the field into the stands, Joe Milton's arm strength didn't do us a lot of good, did it?Wuerffel is Joe Milton compared to this kid
He didn't really. He got injured a good bit and he wasn't an NFL starter for most of his career.I'm not saying he's ideal size but he's FAR from "skinny as a rail". I wonder how Doug Flutie survived the NFL....

Thing is, we're out of options for anyone even approaching elite level. So, If the guy doesn't throw ints and can manage a game, I'll take it.
