This is not what equivalency looks like.

I agree his is not here long term. But, he has not destroyed this program. We have much better talent than we had when he showed up. I know it is popular to say he sucks at everything but that is just not true. We have bigger, stronger and faster players than we had when he showed up.
I don't get you apologists. I just don't. Well, I can't be mad at my wife. She only cheated on me 4 times this year.

Mizzu is 5 and 3 in conference with a first year head coach and new coaching staff and based on the big star ratings that everyone is caught up with they have less talent then UT Vols. Arkansas beat us with a first year head coach and new staff with less rated talent then UT Vols and yet people think its the fans fault for losing recruits! Now that crap is funny!!! (By the way I just replied your post because it had the standings listed, was not trying to say anything negative about it.)

We're easier to recruit against than anyone below us in the SEC, because we have so much talent, that is underdeveloped or flat out wasted.

Your right

Guys it is my fault for the recent decommiments of recruits....i have let my disappointment show thru and it obviously has effected the recruiting of players....it had nothing to do with inadequate coaching or getting our asses handed to us for 6 straight games....its me. My bad everyone I'll do better

Go forth and sin no more my child.

Y'all ever stop to think about what our competition uses to recruit coaches and players against us? I'm sure one of the low hanging fruits they attack is our miserably toxic, disloyal, and negative fan base. It hasn't crossed most of your minds that these decommitments could be stemming from how unstable we've made our coaching situation appear. These players rarely choose to go to a school because of the school when they're recruited by 15+ Power 5 schools. They go for the coaches. We're throwing these recruiters soft balls because they're pointing at UT saying those guys aren't even going to be there in a couple years. You're delusional if you expected anything more than 5-6 wins on the year with absolutely no offseason development for a team that played 20 true freshmen. I understand we haven't met those expectations but our team faced more adversity this year than other teams of similar build and unfortunately that came down to the luck of the draw. Some of you clowns need to just shut up and be fans. Don't give the program any of your money and do something else on Saturday if it ruins your life that much.

Isn't it odd that the most dedicated coach worshipers never follow the failed coach to his next destination? They always come back here to canonize, and coronate the next stiff that walks through the door, and blame the players for not being the best "Jimmies and Joes", or not "his guys".
After all the bargain bin hires that’s been through here, you’d think they’d learn.

This is not the first 6 game losing streak. I think the last one was in 88. I never said we shouldn't complain. I simply said a young recruit could shy away from here if he thought the fans were trying to run the person out of town that was trying to recruit him. It is one thing to complain about losing. It is another thing when 99% of the FF posts are about firing the entire staff and the AD. If we will slow down and listen Fulmer has already said this year was unique and Pruitt would not be fired. To just keep up with the fire him now crap is not productive and it can hurt recruitment. Kids that are doing research on where to go to school for 4 years are looking at us as fans and I would be visiting the fan websites.
Once again people assume incorrectly that 18-20 year old recruits and players go to a message board rather than Twitter and Instagram. They don't.

He has the same record that Majors had at this point. SMH
Majors had enjoyed a level of success as a Head Coach, including a Natty, and was a legend at Tennessee. Our current coach was a DC at three already successful, and talent rich programs, and a life-long fan of our biggest rival. You are not comparing apples to Big Oranges in the manner that you believe you are.

So are we just not telling these players when the games are cause this team is full of kids that severely outclassed?

Well, look at his. Been here for 5 years and makes 1 single post and this is it.

Because I know if I'm an 18 year-old recruit, I'm going to say "nah, coach, let me see what Tennessee's fans are up to on the internet. I don't honestly care that Tennessee has imploded and it's Head Coach is being snippy with local media and is being eviscerated by national media. I don't care that Pruitt has lost an NCAA record number of games by 10+ in his first 3 years or that he's lost to chief rivals by an average of 22 points in Year 3 with almost no sign of halftime adjustments. Yeah, it's the fans that are going to make up my mind for me."
B S. Get your head out of the sand.

Most of the team that Pruitt brought are still young. They are learning. We still need more elite players. I just don't think bitching and whining on here is helping anything and to think it causes no harm to recruiting is just wrong. If one elite player changes his mind because of what we are saying about things that is one too many. I don't understand how we can say our record will run players off and not think how we act has no possible influence. If I were an elite player and a team that was struggling needed my help, it would not scare me off. If I thought the coach would be ran out on a rail after I signed, that might be a different story. JMHO I have always felt if you are not part of the solution you might be part of the problem.

Too bad these bigger, stronger faster players can't show it on the field.
