Can I just ask a question? Why would a recruit commit to a staff when what appears to be most of the fan base is calling for him to be fired at the end of this season? I know I wouldn't unless I was sure the coach was returning. I am not saying the "Fire Pruitt Now" and the list of replacement coaches is the reason for the decommits. But, it sure doesn't help. JMHO

It’s a non factor. The negativity is a reflection of the product on the field and coaching staff which is what the recruits look at when deciding.

Y'all ever stop to think about what our competition uses to recruit coaches and players against us? I'm sure one of the low hanging fruits they attack is our miserably toxic, disloyal, and negative fan base. It hasn't crossed most of your minds that these decommitments could be stemming from how unstable we've made our coaching situation appear. These players rarely choose to go to a school because of the school when they're recruited by 15+ Power 5 schools. They go for the coaches. We're throwing these recruiters soft balls because they're pointing at UT saying those guys aren't even going to be there in a couple years. You're delusional if you expected anything more than 5-6 wins on the year with absolutely no offseason development for a team that played 20 true freshmen. I understand we haven't met those expectations but our team faced more adversity this year than other teams of similar build and unfortunately that came down to the luck of the draw. Some of you clowns need to just shut up and be fans. Don't give the program any of your money and do something else on Saturday if it ruins your life that much.

That's certainly true. I do think it served some purposes. One of which is It seemed like we had somewhat less repetitive threads as newbies rarely look through threads for duplicates. They start posts to share "their truth" which we clearly need a new conversation about(same as the other conversations, such as this thread).

Granted this is just a personal preference. I'm the one that chose to click on and respond in this thread, so that's on me. However, I just wanted to throw that out there bc I do feel like it made for a better experience. JMO.

Why should we sit on our hands and not complain about the direction of the program, when we are stacking up double digit losses like cord-wood? We now have a 6 game (and counting) losing streak for the first time IN PROGRAM HISTORY. This coach has racked up more DOUBLE DIGIT LOSSES than any other coach in 3 YEARS.

Seriously...what damage can we possibly do?

That's certainly true. I do think it served some purposes. One of which is It seemed like we had somewhat less repetitive threads as newbies rarely look through threads for duplicates. They start posts to share "their truth" which we clearly need a new conversation about(same as the other conversations, such as this thread).

Granted this is just a personal preference. I'm the one that chose to click on and respond in this thread, so that's on me. However, I just wanted to throw that out there bc I do feel like it made for a better experience. JMO.

This is not the first 6 game losing streak. I think the last one was in 88. I never said we shouldn't complain. I simply said a young recruit could shy away from here if he thought the fans were trying to run the person out of town that was trying to recruit him. It is one thing to complain about losing. It is another thing when 99% of the FF posts are about firing the entire staff and the AD. If we will slow down and listen Fulmer has already said this year was unique and Pruitt would not be fired. To just keep up with the fire him now crap is not productive and it can hurt recruitment. Kids that are doing research on where to go to school for 4 years are looking at us as fans and I would be visiting the fan websites.

Pruitt is a dead man walking. We know it. You know it. The players know it. The recruits know it. Even Pruitt and the rest of the staff know it.

The only reason he is still coaching at UT right now, is because Fulmer is 100% not qualified to be the Athletic Director, and gave him an extension and a raise in September.

Fire him now, fire him at the end of next season, or go full moron and wait till he literally destroys the program by waiting till after 2022, makes no difference in the fact that Jeremy Pruitt, will be fired from his position as the Head Football Coach at the University of Tennessee.

I agree he is not here long term. But, he has not destroyed this program. We have much better talent than we had when he showed up. I know it is popular to say he sucks at everything but that is just not true. We have bigger, stronger and faster players than we had when he showed up.
