Just bringing some observations as I watch some of these summer league games. Henry Ford has played every game in center field so far in the cape. And recently he has been hitting leadoff. Not sure where he will slot for us if he makes it to campus, but there is plenty of athleticism there. Has been heating up at the plate as well.

Big crowd for postgame autographs before fireworks. We’re the fireworks for Forest City, and we’ll pull in people from other towns like Spindale and Rutherfordton. Great summertime fun.

Brayden Sharp pitched 6 innings of shutout baseball for the Lincoln Potters against Blake Grimmer’s 1st place Prune Packers only giving up 1 hit, with 11 Ks and 2 BBs. Luke Payne and and Ryan Combs are in bullpen for Packers. For the season. Sharp has a 2.25 ERA and is crushing the Pacific Empire League with 24 IP and only 13 hits with 31Ks and 10 BBs and only 6 earned runs. He will play at Rice next season.

Yes, the games are played at App State. Also, it’s generally cooler there, offering a respite from summer heat.

Thankfully, our extra right fielder remained happy and left the field and went back into the woods.
